I had Eric as a technician and he was great. He was very flexible in communicating with me to my preference, he kept me updated throughout the process, and he was very polite. Thankful he was working on my windshield!

I was quoted 2-2.5 hours at first for the work, then I was called by the technician while I was eating lunch and they said 1-1.5 hours. The work took over 3 hours. When I got the car the new windshield was filthy with marks all over it. Also, my state inspection sticker was missing from the windshield. I found it later on a sheet of paper that looked like it had been ran over several times by a car in the floorboard of the backseat. The paper had instructions on how to get a new sticker from the state. There was no mention of that at all before or during the appointment from anyone. I understood that everything would be placed back where it was before, from my mirror to my toll transponder to my inspection sticker. I’ve used Safelite several times in the past and have always had above and beyond service, work finished ahead of time, and things in a better place than where they were before. I was disappointed in this experience as it was completely opposite of my prior experiences.

We seem to be a target for rocks that crack our windshields. It doesn't matter if we are behind a truck or a Volkswagen. Safelite has come to our rescue. Eric, the tech who replaced our windshield yesterday, was awesome. He was patient, kind, and informative. It is so convenient that Safelite will come to your home to do their work. And they were $300 cheaper than our local glass company. We highly recommend them!

The Williamsburg Safelite team was outstanding. They replaced our windshield & we were very impressed with our technician, Hikem. He walked us through every step, fully answered our questions, showed us how & why he was doing what he was doing & was very careful every step of the way. The rest of the team were very pleasant & hospitable. We would highly recommend this Safelite location.

⭐️ 1 Star Unfortunately, my experience with Safelite was extremely frustrating from start to finish. My first appointment was a mobile appointment, with an 8 AM to 1 PM window. That five-hour window already makes it difficult to plan your day. At 8 AM, I received a call from the technician saying there were several people ahead of me. After that, I never heard from him again. Eventually, I had to reschedule because I had to be at work. I decided to make an appointment at the shop instead, thinking the windshield would at least be installed indoors in a controlled environment. I was wrong. The installation was done outside, with debris getting into my car. The technician was nice, but I was left with a dirty car and debris inside that I had to deal with myself. They do not clean up after themselves. Then it started raining, so everything had to be rushed and moved around. I subsequently needed another appointment to recalibrate the cameras and address the rearview mirror. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The quality of the glass has been disappointing. While cleaning my car a day after, I also discovered that the molding had not been installed properly, resulting in water leaking into the vehicle and the windshield appears used and has a chip in it. Not big but I didn’t pay for used glass. I think they purposefully do not clean the glass so customers do not notice imperfections. There was no quick remedy. I had to make yet another appointment to have the molding addressed. At this point, the amount of time, inconvenience, repeat appointments, and problems I’ve experienced completely outweigh any savings. The technician himself was courteous, but the overall service and quality control were not what I expected. Next time, I’ll pay more and take my BMW to BMW for the glass installation. I will not use Safelite again. First picture is the chip, second photo is the molding installed incorrectly allowing water into the vehicle.
