After years of good quality service, this repair shop has gone sharply downhill. They no longer stand behind their work, and refuse to make things right when their "repairs" dont fix the problem that the vehicle was brought into the shop for to begin with. We have taken our fleet trucks here for years, but with newer management in recent times, everything has changed.
We took our truck in for service. It was having intermittent problems on acceleration and the check engine light was coming on. They looked at the codes and said we needed a tune up and fuel system clean. I asked Nicholas if he was certain this would resolve the issue and if the tune up could be done without the fuel system clean. He told me that the code was for misfiring and that this was the repair for the issue and that the tune up could not be done without the fuel system clean. I authorized the repair based on his recommendation. I was told on 4/11/26 that the vehicle repair was complete and ready for pickup. I could not pick it up that day (saturday) due to lack of a ride there. But i went in, paid the invoice and picked up the key. On sunday (4/12/26) i picked the vehicle up and within 1/4 of a mile of leaving the repair shop, the vehicle exhibited the same issue, and the check engine light came on. I called on tuesday to let the repair shop know the problem hadn't been fixed, and spoke with the other manager there. He was polite and kind, and told me to bring it back in.
I explained that i couldn't that week due to work, but i would bring it in the following week, but wanted to let him know right away that the issue wasn't fixed. He told me that he would let everyone there know and to expect us. On friday, 4/24/26, i dropped the truck back off and was met with immediate attitude by Nicholas. "it didnt fix the problem?"
I replied "no, unfortunately not, i spoke to someone here a day or two after i picked it up and let them know".
I was then met with "It didn't fix it at all???".
I replied with, "no, and if anything it is slowly getting worse".
After several calls about when the truck would be looked at and serviced, and continued attitude about how "backed up they were", i received a message on monday 4/27 about the vehicle. My business partner, Mel called and was told that the issue must be an issue with the exhaust system or a catalytic converter and the repair shop doesn't work on those. When they were asked about the nearly $1800 that was paid to fix and resolve the issue that it didn't resolve at all, and that the repair that was done wasn't evidently even needed, we were told that the original repair did solve that issue and that this issue was different and must have occurred after we picked up the vehicle.
We then pointed out to him that the issue was not resolved. That there was no way that within 1/4 mile of leaving the repair shop, that a completely new issue with the EXACT same symptoms occurred, completely independent of the original issue. We argued that instead of actually diagnosing the problem, the repair shop took one look at the computer code of "misfire" and performed the tune up because it was a high cost, easy repair for them to do and profit from, and simply hoped it would fix the issue. Then when it didnt, they threw their hands up in the air and basically said "oh well, not our problem" We were told no, and that we needed to pick up the vehicle and that they would be unable to service it.
Why should we have to pay nearly $1800 for a repair that evidently wasn't needed, and didn't fix the issue that it was brought in for?
