I went back inside and the gentleman at the register, Roy, helped me out. He refunded the ones I had bought and found me the right ones and installed them for me. I was greeted right away by Verdell, who told me he could take care of it. He helped me pick out the correct battery for my Tahoe and then headed outside to install it. What I expected to be a simple swap turned out to be much more involved, but Verdell clearly knew exactly what he was doing. I don’t mind taking on DIY projects, and if I had tried this myself, it probably would have taken me two hours, multiple YouTube videos, and a lot of frustration. Verdell had it done in about 40 minutes. AutoZone should know what a valuable employee they have—definitely brand‑ambassador material. Because of this experience, this location has earned a new loyal customer. I’ll be coming here for all my future automotive needs. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Thanks Verdell!
