- MCMiranda Coen5 days ago1.0my husband came here to get a new battery bc he was told that they do free installation with purchase. they told him to remove his old battery himself and someone would come install the new battery when they got a minute. the guy comes over, proceeds to tell my husband that he will "probably not" install the batterv for him. my husband asks why not, seeing as how they supposedly offer free installation with purchase, and the guy says since my husband already started touching things (removing the battery like he was told??) he wont install the battery because he doesnt want to be responsible if something goes wrong!? he spent over 30 minutes waiting for a battery that i ordered online and was already ready before my husband even arrived. $150 spent just to be treated like crap. definitely would not reccomended and definitely not coming back here. worth it to spend the little bit extra and go somewhere else to get better customer service.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
