  I went to the Thornburg Virginia location to walk through and get a feel for a specific travel trailer, that I have been researching for months. I will not provide specifics because these folks are doing a job they were trained to do. I commend them all for working and trying to make a living because it is getting much more difficult these crazy days. That said, the sales lady we met was very pleasant at the beginning while showing the RV but then started acting defensive when she shifted into her "sales" negotiating mode. I was not planning to purchase and made that clear. Her first offer was insulting because I asked her to give me her best price and she only came down barely off MSRP. I have been researching this travel trailer for over 6 months and if you don't know, start the negotiating at 40% off MSRP (which are fictitious numbers anyways because they are not regulated like the auto industry). I told her she wasn't even close to other quotes I have already received. I informed her the other offers were over $10,000 less and then she mentioned they must be using coupons. I asked for her best price, wouldnt your first offer include any discount available to begin with? Clearly not with them, and at that point I knew i wasn't going to purchase from them. She then told me to make an offer, so I offered her $40k. She basically laughed at me and informed me that wasn't going to happen but could present it to her manager anyways. At that point I ended the negotiations and walked away. She also the told me (on the way out the door) that the Manassas location would not get that trailer, implying if I went to Manassas to get a real offer she wouldn't allow that transfer to occur. That must of clearly occurred before and she clearly was not happy with me, but I honestly didn't care because it's sales and I don't take that crap personally. I originally visited the Manassas location and received no help so we went to Thornburg because they had the unit in stock. We weren't happy with either location and I hope and pray they are not all like that. Us buyers are getting much more informed and educated so they may want to change their old "sales" antics. I will start my RV experience without the help of them. I hope and pray they approach their future buyers more informed and educated themselves. By the way, I purchased that travel trailer (with more options) for less than the $40k I originally offered to them, from their competitor.

  Order a new toliet on line Saturday evening. They contacted ready for pickup Sunday. Installed Sunday afternoon.

  I put $12000 in for the deposit, after talked to my family, since the RV loan was too high 16%, I decided not to get it anymore and never got the RV, but you all still held my $3000 deposit, not sure why? The other $9000 deposit was returned to me, bad!

  Camping World review Thronburg, VA. My purchase experience was a nightmare. Sales person tired to sale me a $1000 plus - hitch, tow stabalizer. I said no, i have my own; but, can you hook me up he said yes,. After signing all the the paperwork to complete the purchase he told me since the tow hitch stabalizer didn't come from them they couldn't hook it up, wow! I would of went somewhere else but, at this point i was all on. Oh, it gets worse. Once I drove off the lot not even 20 minutes the camper tire blew, I called camping world spoke with customer service and service department they responded as there is nothing they could do to assist. I called a mobile tire company to fix the tire waiting 5 hours on the side of 95, only to find out the tire had been dry rotted. My wife called camping world and spoke with a manger who laughed through the situation and stated the general manager with no remorse said there was nothing they could do. That we should have called a company that was never explained during the purchase process. What happen to the human aspect? Please look at the reviews I am not the only one this happened to. They do not care about you or your experiences or family. SOLDIERS STAY AWAY!!! Don't buy from them. Your friendly Army retired veteran.

  We are extremely disappointed with our experience at Camping World Thornburg. We were sold an RV that clearly was not thoroughly inspected before delivery. One of the biggest issues has been water related problems and leaks that should have been identified and addressed before the RV was ever sold. Instead of enjoying the peak of camping season, our RV has been sitting at the dealership for repairs for weeks. To make matters worse, we can't even get a status update on the repairs despite repeated attempts to find out what's going on. It's incredibly frustrating to spend so much money on an RV only to have it sidelined because of problems that should have been caught during a proper inspection. Our entire experience has left us questioning not only Camping World Thornburg's inspection process but also the way they treat customers after the sale. From the sales process to the lack of communication during repairs, the entire experience has left us with little confidence in the dealership. Based on our experience, we do not recommend purchasing from Camping World Thornburg. Buyer beware.
