  Doesnt really matter if you set up and appoitment or not...I did and still was told to wait for 4 hours before they could get me in...WOW

  We were on a cross-country RV trip and had a tire valve malfunction causing a slow leak. We we had the tire changed and continued on to our destination for the day in Salem, VA. Upon arrival we brought in the leaking tire for repair. Even on a fairly busy late afternoon, the gents at Mr. Tire in Salem, had me in and out in about 20mins! Realizing it was an easy fix they got me on my way in quick order. The gents were very professional and courteous. Highly recommend this shop if your situation calls for it!

  I had a scheduled appointment to have a nail removed from my tire and when I got there I was told it would be a 2 hr wait. I had told the scheduler, when I called at 7:30am, that I would have to wait on my vehicle. She said no problem and we set a 12pm appointment. I figured maybe a 1hr wait tops. When I told the rude man that I couldn’t wait that long, I asked him if he had any suggestions on where else I could go and he said “nope”. I’m not from Salem and I really could have used some help. So much for customer service.

  Called this establishment (which I am now aware was a call center? Weird? That’s my first issue) and was given an appointment for an oil change & state inspection for my jeep, was told by the person on phone to go drop off and was sent an email confirmation. I walk into the business to greet the The employee standing at the desk “, (was not greeted in any sort of even remotely polite manner) — I proceeded to kindly explain what I was there for he was incredibly rude and said “well you didn’t talk to me and there’s no way that I’ll be able to do that. That’s a call Center” and literally just walked away from me, scoffing. I walked out in the parking lot and asked him if I could make an appointment for next week and again, very rudely he says “we don’t make appointments for inspections” I said yes I understand however I also need an oil change, he says “I can’t guarantee an inspection just an oil change” okay, so at this point I’ve gathered you do not need more business and are overall seriously lacking customer service. As a young 30 Something person myself, it’s truly embarrassing how people of my generation have totally lost the art of being generally polite or having any sort of customer service skills… completely understand you cannot provide what I need, but we don’t have to be rude to people. You’re not the only person who doesn’t want to be at work. I will make sure that I share with everyone I would never recommend this business. Yikes.

  I had a flat tire while out of town and called Mr. Tire in Salem to see if they could patch it. I fully expected I might need to buy new tires, but they were kind enough to fit me into their schedule. When I dropped my car off, I was told it would be completed before closing and that I would receive a call when it was ready. Since I live about two hours away, I appreciated their willingness to get me back on the road that same day. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. Closing time came and I never received a phone call. When I tried calling the shop, it had already rolled over to the after-hours system, so I couldn't reach anyone. I got a ride to the shop hoping to pick up my vehicle, only to find the doors locked, no employees present, and my car still inside. Because no one contacted me to let me know the status of my vehicle—or even that it wouldn't be completed that day—I was left stranded out of town. My fiancé had to make a three-hour round trip to come get me. The next morning, after still receiving no communication from the shop, I called and was simply told the car was ready for pickup. Mistakes happen, and I understand that repairs can sometimes take longer than expected. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of communication. A quick phone call would have allowed me to make other arrangements and avoid being stranded. I was fortunate enough to have someone who could come get me and flexibility in my schedule. If I had children with me, work obligations, or no available ride, this situation would have been much more serious. The repair itself was fine, but the lack of communication and customer service was extremely disappointing. Not even any effort to make up for the inconvenience was offered.
