- JJJesseSep 17, 20261.0Like others have said, their prices are unbelievable. Not only are they sky high, but as an added inconvenience, they only accept cash.
- TJTabitha JamersonAug 30, 20261.0They’re bad people I had to get a tow from them because the GEICO and their driver was rude as I’ll get out for no reason don’t care what your personal problem is. Get over yourself.

- BBBekhruz BayanovJul 7, 20261.0⚠️ Truck drivers and fleet owners, please be careful. After 10 years in the trucking industry, this was by far the most expensive post-accident towing bill I’ve ever received. I’ve seen recoveries in places like Wyoming involving rolled-over trucks that didn’t cost anywhere near this much. The accident itself was not severe, yet the charges were overwhelming. I contacted the company, explained my situation, and asked if there was any way they could help or work with me. Unfortunately, they showed no willingness to listen or offer any assistance. To make matters worse, I later found out my insurance policy has a $10,000 limit for towing and recovery, which means I’m personally responsible for paying the rest. I’m sharing my experience so other truck drivers and fleet owners know what they could be facing. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend them. If you’re ever in a situation where you have a choice, I strongly suggest getting a quote or asking questions before authorizing a tow.
- APAbigail PhillipsJun 22, 20265.0My car key broke and I couldn’t drive my car. They picked me up about 30 minutes after calling! Not too long of a wait at all. Service was prompt and efficient. My car seemed well taken care of and secured during the tow. Driver was respectful and helpful. One person is able to ride along in the truck. Quote is informed to you ahead of time and aligns with the final price. Grateful for their service to me!
Frequently Asked Questions About Fat Boys Wrecker Service
Where are you located?
Fat Boys Towing Service has multiple locations – Roanoke & Bedford, VA – serving ALL of Central VA.
What are your hours of operation?
Fat Boys Towing takes our business very seriously. We realize that we are an essential service to the community. Therefore, we proudly operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. This includes all public holidays.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard.
My car is all-wheel drive, does it require a flatbed tow truck?
No. Conventional tow trucks are capable of lifting all wheels off the ground.
Is towing rough on my car?
No. Quite the opposite. Since your car is lifted by its tires, it is riding on your own suspension. And the tow trucks suspension absorbs most of the bumps.
Can your towing providers unlock my car for me?
Our towing experts gladly provide lockout services to all our customers. No matter what make or model of your car, our towing professionals will be able to open up your automotive. When you call up our dispatchers, simply describe the issue-whether you’ve lost your keys or they’re locked inside-the make and model of the car, and your location, and we’ll have your auto opened up in a jiffy.
How will I know if my battery needs to be jump started or completely replaced?
This situation differs from car to car, from battery to battery. There are many variables involved, including the age of the battery and the amount it has been used by the owner. Our professional towing contractors will be able to diagnose the exact problem and prescribe the correct solution to such a difficulty. When you call up our towing experts, you’ll be in touch with the kind of reliable servicemen who can resolve both problems with just as much ease. So don’t worry if you can’t determine the exact problem: our experts can.
What's the difference between local and long-distance towing?
In practical terms, local and long-distance towing involve different requirements for our professional, hired towing contractors. Generally speaking, because of the time and gas expended for long-distance assistance, the cost to the patron will be relatively higher than a simpler, local service. However, when it comes to a driver in need, our towing experts work with no hesitation. Regardless of the distance, our towing experts are more than glad to help a customer in need for any requested towing service. We’ll assist you, near and far.
Do you want me to put the vehicle in neutral?
We are asked this question on almost every vehicle. The short answer is no – it’s unsafe. A vehicle cannot be controlled when the vehicle transmission is in neutral. Your tow professional will secure your vehicle with a towing cable before releasing the transmission on a disabled vehicle. When your tow professional arrives on the scene, he will ask for your keys.
Do I need to be present at my vehicle for you to tow it?
We tow vehicles every day without the customer present. We call them “unattended recoveries.” You must have the keys available; usually, that means you hide them and let us know where.
