  My wife and I recently purchased our first camper, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Camping World. Jack Andrews did an excellent job helping us through the process. He was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to our needs without ever making us feel pressured. His service and attention to detail made for a great experience. We also received tremendous help from Jeff in the Parts Department as we selected the accessories we needed to get started. Jeff provided a wealth of information and took the time to make sure we understood what we needed and why. We highly recommend Jack Andrews and Jeff at Camping World. Their knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help made a big difference for us as first-time camper owners. We truly appreciate everything they did for us!

  Terrible! Service sucks. Before you buy do something I didn’t! Check their reviews. I will never buy from camping world of Roanoke VA. again! I will more than likely have to hire an attorney to get out of the junk camper I bought. Has spent more time at the dealership than at my house. Said it was done! Here I am 2 hours and still setting waiting for my camper. I’m disgusted with camping world!

  Calum Mackenzie was our salesman when we were looking for our camper. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Jacob in office was polite and made sure we were taken care of. Aaron in finance office was through and nice making it less painful...and Chance in service department showed us all the ins and outs of camper and how things operated. Everyone was nice and helpful. Wasn't a bad experience at all.

  Drove up to VA from GA two weeks after putting a “deposit” down on a toy hauler, to arrive on the “day it’s supposed to be ready” which is Friday. We arrived on time on Friday and had time for a quick inspection. Camping world said they’d put new tires on it (tomorrow). Fast forward to Saturday afternoon, camper still isn’t ready to go after multiple requests on my end. Obviously they were closed Sunday. So we stick around in the hotel until Monday. We go back around lunchtime. Still no tires on the camper. No one knows when they’ll be done. Service manager isn’t “answering the phone calls” from the salesman, after getting very obviously frustrated, all 6 tires magically showed up within the next two hours and were installed. Now here’s where it gets reallllly interesting. We’re doing our final inspection on our “new to us” home, only to find that the front living room slide wall was COMPLETELY rotted out under the surface. I asked multiple times prior to making a 5.5hr trip if there was any water damage whatsoever. The kicker to that is this dealership had to order and install a new slide out cable on that exact slide, there’s absolutely no way they didn’t know about the damage. Typical dealership BS. They promise you the world then try to find any way possible to stick it to you. The sad part is complaining doesn’t do anything, just a PSA to those interested in buying a camper to shop elsewhere. Also research how many campers are on their lot for service for months and months at a time :)

  We recently decided to purchase our first new travel trailer. I found one we really liked on the website and was put in touch with salesman Jack. I talked to him several times during the day to work out the deal. I knew we wanted to purchase the GAP, the extended warranty, and would need a starter package with the hoses etc., and the hitch. I was up front and requested everything we needed be included in the payment. I gave him a price range we needed. He said if we came that evening or the next day he could make the deal work. When we got there, we went to his office and again discussed everything that would be included. We then learned they didn’t even have the camper that we had been discussing. He showed us several more options. We went back to his office and he said they could get the same camper from a different dealership but I would need to pay transport, and we then learned it didn’t have the GAP and warranty included. He sarcastically told me I didn’t have to purchase those if I didn’t want to pay for them, told me he could just leave it in the parking lot for me and not inspect it to make sure everything works (which they charge extra for)but eventually he still said he could make it work. By this time it was getting late and he practically pushed us outside. The next day I had to follow up with him to see what the status was. He called me and said he lowered the payment a few dollars and took off a few things to which I replied that’s me losing things to lower the payment and not them working to make the deal. He said several things weren’t included anyway so I began to get frustrated because to my knowledge all of the things I had requested were always included. I asked if he remembered telling me he took anything out of the deal to which his response was we can part ways if you want. I spoke to a manager and then learned he hadn’t included most of the things I asked for from the beginning. He lied repeatedly. The manager was kind and understanding and tried to make another deal work on another camper but ultimately we went to Pete’s RV in Salem, VA where we received superb service from everyone throughout the process. I just don’t appreciate being lied to. It was unnecessary and ultimately lost them the sell. I expected more from such a widely known dealer.
