Rewriting my review, because some of the issues I brought up originally weren't super relevant as it's pretty common across the auto industry. For reference at this point, I've owned my car I purchased through Volvo of Richmond for roughly 3k miles and a month. Bought the car, and didn't really hear much noise other than the tire noise from the inexpensive new tires they had put on the vehicle. Planned on replacing them anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. Got some normal maintenance done (front diff and transfer case), and that was all fine. Started noticed a metallic noise when I randomly had the radio and air con off. I've had it through two shops and a mobile mechanic, who discovered that the pinion bearing was shot on the rear diff. Mind you, I've had this car for 3k miles at most(I think it's slightly under that). I'd be super surprised if that wasn't an issue before I bought it, as I don't abuse the car, and haven't done anything that would wear the diff out in less than 3k miles. They did the oil pan gasket which is a hell of a job, but I can drive with an oil leak. I can't drive with a rear diff that blows though. I don't think there was any ill intent in selling the car, but this is a cautionary tale to be very diligent looking at cars from this dealer.

I've had 3 Volvos and Bucky has been fantastic to work with over the years! Straightforward, honest and he speaks to me about service in language I can understand. I trust his recommendations on what can wait and what needs immediate attention.

Been having issues with my car since time of purchase. It’s hard to get the issues resolved, honestly it feels, because it’s still under warranty and no one will or want touch it. Thought buying a vehicle from the Haley umbrella was the best move in my area. But it feels like I made the worst possible decision. It’s weird because I constantly get texts from the service app about my car being serviced when its not nor did I even make appointments to do so. The last service I had I was told to take to Jeep because the tech couldn’t find any issues. I’ve done everything I was instructed to do far as getting these matter resolved. I went to Jeep and the first question they asked me was it under warranty. When I told yes they also did not find any issues. (Go figure) at least with that mechanic he did feel the rockiness and wobble when he drove it. I’m constantly getting the run around. From far far away schedule only service dates or just non responsive emails or texts. I commute for work and driving to and from work on the highway with ya car constantly rock or loosing traction is becoming unsafe. It really upsetting because I put money down for this car and realizing that same money I put down I’m going to have to spend again just in repairs. I should’ve known something was up when the salesman asked am I’m good with cars and never answered my email or phone call. Honestly I’ve shown grace and patience in this process hoping that, the right thing will be done because it’s good business practices. But doesn’t seem like it. Everything is a learning curve when buying used cars witch I understand. But the company should at least meet the customer halfway especially when he/she is being understanding and remaining calm. Morals must lead before money!

I dropped my car yesterday afternoon for an 8:15 am appointment today. I have been calling since 12:00 to find out what is going on with my car. I was told that my "advisor" was at lunch and she would call me as soon as she got back. I just called again at 2:00 and was told that she must still be at lunch. I was told that the manager wasn't in today. When I said to transfer me to whom ever was in charge I was transferred to another advisor. He said they just took my car back because it doesn't matter when your appointment is, they take Walkinshaw and waiters first. I'm going to go up there and wait so that they will check my car. Perhaps they just don't want to do warranty work. I had stopped taking my car to the dealership unless it was warranty work for just this reason. Since the dealership changed owners the service is terrible and workmenship is below standard.
