William Goins was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. I greatly appreciate his honesty and integrity that was shown. I’ve been to many dealerships over the years and he definitely shot it to me straight from the initial meeting. Thank you, William, and thank you, Sheehy Ford!
We recently purchased our fifth vehicle from Sheehy. Got a great deal that was straightforward and no nonsense. We’ve attempted to work with other dealers but always seem to come back to Sheehy. Always a pleasant experience. Special shout outs to Dave and Rex.

I recently brought my 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat up to the service department for what was believed to be a bad ACM Unit (Audio Control Module) as I did my best to troubleshoot the issue myself. The service department did a diagnostic test and confirmed my suspicions and gave me a quote to repair / replace the ACM Unit.
Before bringing my vehicle in and after the ACM Unit went bad I went outside to start my truck and the battery was completely dead. Thinking that it was just time for a new battery I picked up a new battery from Ford and replaced it and all was well. After that I took the truck up to Ford for the diagnostic test on the perceived bad ACM unit which as I said before was confirmed. I took the vehicle home on a Thursday did not drive it on Friday but went to start it on Saturday and bam the brand new battery was dead which I did not understand. Upon further research I found that a bad ACM Unit will not shut down properly (go to sleep) when the vehicle is turned off which will cause a parasitic draw on the battery and will bleed it dry overnight. I took the battery back up to Ford and they ran their own test and confirmed it was beyond repair and could not be recharged. (It is now believed the original battery was still good until the parasitic draw took place after the ACM unit went bad) They immediately honored the warranty and provided me with a new battery which I took home and reinstalled in the vehicle which started right away and I took back to Ford so they could replace the bad ACM Unit. After receiving the vehicle they took the time to disconnect the negative lead on the battery so that parasitic draw would not kill another brand new battery. The ACM unit was replaced the next day and the vehicle was returned to me.
I do not know if Ford was aware that a bad ACM Unit could or would have a parasitic draw on the battery after the vehicle was shut down or not, but if they did it was not relayed to me. But hey these things happen. It's been about a week since the ACM Unit was replaced and to this point everything is working fine and it seems the parasitic draw issue was resolved by replacing the bad ACM Unit with a new one.
Overall I was very pleased with the service I received from Sheehy Ford Lincoln of Richmond. My point of contact was Alan Lathrop during this process. He kept me informed of the process and progress throughout it's entirety and as soon as the ordered ACM Unit came in he got my truck in and repaired and returned to me the next day which was greatly appreciated because being without transportation causes a real strain on day to day operations. One of the things I appreciated that Alan did and it might sound like a small thing to some but as I was picking up my new battery from his kiosk and while he was in a conversation with another customer he continued his conversation with his current customer and walked over to the door and held it open while I gathered up the battery and waited for me to pass through. He did not have to do that but I was grateful that he did because those batteries are extremely heavy. Sometimes it's the small things that count not always the big that leave an impression on a customer.
Great job Ford!!
Sincerely,
A satisfied customer!!
Terrible and unbelievable. Tried to take my Transit in for service for a recall/extended warranty issue noticed by another shop, and was told if its not doing it right now we wont look at it. 300 miles later the Van essentially is limping along and I take it in, and they say its 140 miles over the warranty, we wont do anything for you. Finally the guy I thought was trying to take care of me said he was going to submit to Ford for an exception because I have bought 4 other Fords, and to give him time. So I gave him time, and even bought a temporary van in the meantime. Well now they've held on to my Van for OVER a year, and apparently someone messed up my record and they lost my phone number. So now I call them and they say they only put it in online and got a immediate no. Then sat on my van. Now I have a $20,000 paperweight that Ford (more specifically Sheehy Ford) wont assist with. Now I'm waiting for a call from the GM......hopefully they don't lose my number again
