Not sure if it the service advisor that I get Charles H, service manager that I can never get ahold of Steven, or just this service dept in general, I've been twice and both times have been bad experiences. The first time took my car in, issue was "fixed" and all the same issues started before I left the lot therefore my car ended staying a week. This most recent visit on 6/30 was a hot mess, was told my warranty claim wasnt covered but when I called my warranty company they said a claim wasn't submitted as they were waiting for pictures and scope of work needing done to verify. After playing phone tag all day and forcing a three way call somehow the claim was submitted and some of the work was approved but that I was told wasn't covered, it's like they don't want to do the work or something but they love trying to sale you something or upcharge for something. I hate when Carmax (who I bought the car from) tells me I'd have to take it to the dealer (granted that's only happened twice in 6 years) cause I know it will be some issues! Ill have to drive a bit further for the Ford on broad st but I don't see myself going back to Sheehy for service, especially when in 2 for 2 with bad service.

I brought my truck in because of the official Ford service bulletin 23-2123. This is a known design and mechanical problem in the Ford Ranger generation between 2019 and 2023. My truck was right outside of warranty. It was 7 months and 4k miles over. It only has 64k miles on it. A friend of mine recommended that I visit the dealership, see the service manager, and request a Goodwill assistance program. The service manager was happy to do so. It's my understanding that the dealership is at the mercy of Ford, but I am not 100% certain of that. I was told that I needed a full transmission rebuild and a new ERG valve. Ford covered roughly 40% of the cost. Although thankful for the advice my friend gave me and the financial assistance, I feel this was inequitable. The design problem facing the 10r80 automatic transmissions can occur in the f-150s, expeditions, navigators, mustangs, and rangers. It is a known and documented issue potentially impacting millions of vehicles. With that being said, I didn't feel that it was right for a majority of the cost to fall upon the buyer when the issue is an defective product. I'll be candid and say that I don't know how much impact or control Sheehy Ford had in all of this. They were sympathetic, professional, and transparent to a degree, but in the end, they were the ones facing the customer (me). Right or wrong, I left with a bitter taste in my mouth and with a substantially lighter bank account over a problem that occured due to poor design and something that was outside of my control. In my opinion, it's should be the responsibility of the seller and manufacturer to stand behind their product, which I don't feel happened. Instead, I was left carrying a majority of the cost because of a poor product. I hope this aids or benefits someone in the future.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I called first thing in the morning about a truck we were extremely interested in purchasing. We explained that we lived about six hours away and were serious buyers, wanting to make sure everything was worked out before making the trip. We were told the truck had just been traded in the day before and had not yet gone through the dealership's inspection process. Because of that, we were told they would not take a deposit. We sent photos and information on our trade-in and then emailed a list of questions about the truck so we could decide whether to make the drive. Before anyone responded to our questions, the truck was sold to someone else. I completely understand that vehicles sell, and I don't expect a dealer to hold one indefinitely. My disappointment is with the communication. If the truck was available to be sold immediately despite not being through the inspection process, I wish that had been communicated from the beginning. Likewise, if another buyer was actively purchasing it, a quick phone call or email would have allowed us to stop investing time into the process. We spent hours researching this truck and trying to work with the dealership in good faith. Better communication would have made this a much more positive experience.

As far as the service department and service advisor at Sheehy Ford they were very friendly and concerned about resolving my issues. Especially Leigh-Ann she was very involved in making sure that I was placed in a loaner vehicle during this whole ordeal and that they was on top of getting transmission fixed. Unfortunately there seems that Ford in general needs to look into the issues with the 10r80 transmission because there seems that there is not a guaranteed fix to the issue at had. As I still can feel a issue with the downshift to 5th gear. Something that it should not be doing after a transmission rebuild. All I all im not going to blame the dealership I have to put the blame onThe Ford corporation for design flaws.

Worst experience ever. Period. I was hoping I wouldn’t get a survey, but here we go. Let’s just say, we started with one service advisor, who didn’t understand the assignment & they never responded, we requested their boss, the communication was almost worse. Just know, no one gets mad or a BAD review if you keep the customer in the loop, but getting aggravated when we call/email looking for the status of our vehicle after several months, to install a console in a truck, seems a little unnecessary. Had someone explained ANYTHING from the jump we wouldn’t be where we are now, unhappy with the end result and listening to excuses as to why it turned out this way. Unacceptable Truck was given back to us without being checked and none of the ports work and the lock hole is exactly that, a HOLE. Do better.
