I was there for a state inspection. I was told first come first serve. I got there at 7am. I never got out until after 1. Everyone that came after me was out way before me. Even all of the drop offs. I also got a rejection for the exhaust. I asked if i had to wait all day to being it back. The reply was yes. I will pay for another inspection before i sit 6 or 7 hours for a dollar inspection. What happened to customer service?

The ladies behind the counter were nice but they tried to charge $1000 dollars for a rear brake job. I came in on a Saturday for an inspection. There was an issue with the parking brake light and didn’t know where. They still charged me for an hour of dialysis and could not tell me what the problem was, other than I needed new brakes and wanted to charge for everything else extra. I’m so glad I didn’t have them repair it as I took to my mechanic and they fixed all the issues for $200.00 dollars and it passed inspection. Do not go here as they price gouge.

I had one good experience with this location, since they opened up this new location in Radford, which is why I gave 2 stars. However, I am done with this company as of today. Called several days to ask about state inspection service, which the rep told me was basically available every weekday on a first come, first serve basis. Well, today I took time off work to come wait to have my vehicle inspected, but they have a sign up on the door stating inspections are not being done today. Great! Wasted an hour of my time off and 30-ish miles of driving to not get any service!
Normally this would be understandable were it not for the many other instances of similar lack of service from the Thompson Tire Discounters company, which was bought out/rebranded by Tire Discounters. I am tired of being misled by them, and tired of having to make multiple trips to their locations for service because they can’t employ enough people to provide their services on a consistent basis. I will be looking for a more reliable company to do my vehicle business with.
