- TWThe Strategy WargamerMar 15, 20265.0I brought in my 2011 Ford Fusion SE to this mechanic because of the 4+ star reviews. It's hard to find a good and trusted mechanic shop these days. Mentioned the issues my car was having, trouble starting, had a battery meter which said it was medium, then bad at random times. Also had a tensioner issue that my father, also a mechanic but lives back in Brooklyn, identified. Brought it in way after closing hours, put the info on those cards they have outside the garaged door, even included a pen ha ha. Put in my info. They contacted me and gave me a quote on the tensioner replacement, belt replacement, battery replacement, oil change and state inspection. All for about $900. Asked my wifes friend who's been a mechanic for 15-20 years and said that was a great deal, that his dealership would easily charge 1500 or over for all that. Thank you to the mechanic and this awesome shop for helping me out. They didnt know but Ive been out of work for like a year (worked in IT), gave them a $20 tip (in NYC we tip the mechanic always) told them this is the best tip I can give at the moment, they were very grateful. BTW If your in VA tip your mechanics. Do like we do in Brooklyn. Anyway I waited 1-2 weeks before dropping this review to ensure nothing failed or caused issues (I know in some places mechanics are pressured to rush or even sometimes do malicious things to components so you have to come back in a week or so). Props to this place for being Good Guys. Definitely coming back for my tranny flush soon. Would recommend to anyone who needs a good mechanic. The only thing I would love they change in the future is offer Motorcraft or more premium batteries. I got a battery that will work for my car but wanted a medium tier which on occasion lasts an additional year, from what I hear.
