Excellent customer service and smooth rental process! From start to finish the team for enterprise at the airport Exceeded expectations and did a freat job. Friendly and helpful staff. We really appreciated the return process! Wish all airports had rental returns set up like this! Carlos welcomed us at 530am, got us unloaded and headed into the terminal in record time!

We returned a vehicle from one way trip on Fri morning before boarding flight. After many interactions with Enterprise locations throughout the country, both airport based & not, I can say this was the most enjoyable experience. The return was beyond easy, quick, efficient and so pleasant. Everyone we interacted with was an absolute pleasure. Kudos to the team here!!!

The counter agent I dealt with was incredibly rude. When I asked reasonable questions, he was condescending. When I requested he not speak to me this way, he said “We aren’t doing any of this” and canceled my reservation. When I asked for a business card or management information, he ignored me. I eventually found a manager who stated, “We don’t have to rent cars to customers.” I guess we know why Enterprise was the only company at the airport with any cars left. This is how they treat their customers.

The worse customer service I have ever experienced when attempting to pick up a rental car. My flight was cancelled yesterday 8/2 around 8pm. Unfortunately my only option was to drive to my destination. Having rented exclusively through enterprise and national in the past, I went to their app first and was able to find a reasonably priced rental online.
When I arrived to the counter I spoke with a man named James who was immediately dismissive to me. After I told him the reservation was just booked he told me “oh we don’t do that here” manually cancelled the reservation, and said that there was an “open door policy so we will always let you book, but even if we have the vehicle we can’t rent them out same day” I was shocked because I HAVE rented same day before.
I called enterprise directly who told me verbatim “we don’t have that policy and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to rent from us today”. The representative rebooked and advised me to return to the counter because “since I just booked this they have to provide you the vehicle”. I was hesitant but returned where James argued with me in front of other customers speaking down to me and making it seem like it was MY fault that THEIR customer service team is telling me that they are incorrect.
In the end I paid twice as much to rent with Avos that night because enterprise refused to take my money despite having rented with them exclusively over the last 8-10 years. I DO think I will still rent with this company but AVOID THIS LOCATION and AVOID speaking with James as he does not have the customers best interest in mind

I recently rented a vehicle from Enterprise for what should have been a simple 200-mile trip to Baltimore to watch an Orioles game. Instead, it turned into one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had.
On Saturday, we left in a 2026 Chevy Equinox. About an hour into the drive, the vehicle displayed an ESC failure warning along with multiple caution lights. We lost traction control, AWD, and the vehicle went into limp mode, making acceleration extremely slow and creating a potentially unsafe situation on the highway.
I immediately called Enterprise for assistance. I was instructed to drive to the Fredericksburg location, which closes at 2:00 PM on Saturdays, and was specifically told they would have a replacement vehicle waiting for us. Our GPS estimated our arrival at approximately 1:20 PM, so we made it in time.
When we arrived, the employees had no idea what we were talking about. They weren’t expecting us, had no replacement vehicle ready, and once a vehicle finally became available, the employee didn’t know how to complete the vehicle exchange. We then waited over an hour while he waited for a manager to text him instructions on how to process the swap.
The replacement vehicle was a 2025 Nissan Sentra. It was dirty, had what appeared to be a large toenail in the passenger seat, and when we got back on the highway, the vehicle had a severe vibration that felt like a tire or suspension component was failing. It certainly did not inspire confidence for the remainder of our trip.
We returned the replacement vehicle on Sunday exactly as instructed. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there.
I was incorrectly billed for an additional day because the Norfolk Airport Enterprise location had not yet received their original vehicle back. After disputing the charge, it was corrected. Then, on August 1, I received yet another invoice—this time charging me for four days. I had to dispute the charges all over again.
To make matters worse, I’ve been told three separate “highest priority” customer service tickets have been submitted regarding this experience. Despite those assurances, no manager has contacted me.
The most frustrating part was receiving an email from the assistant manager suggesting the check engine light was simply due to the oil change reminder not being reset. That explanation completely ignores the actual issue. An oil change reminder does not cause an ESC failure, disable traction control and AWD, or force a vehicle into limp mode. Instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the breakdown, it felt like my concerns were being dismissed with an inaccurate explanation.
This experience involved an unsafe vehicle, poor communication between locations, excessive delays, an unsanitary replacement vehicle, repeated billing errors, and a complete lack of follow-up from management.
I have rented from Enterprise many times over the years because I trusted the company. After this experience, that trust is gone. I expected accountability and customer service. Instead, I was left dealing with mechanical failures, wasted vacation time, billing disputes, and management that simply never followed through.
