  Marvin, Rick, and the lady at the front desk provided five-star service and were very knowledgeable and professional. I was extremely satisfied with the results of the work Rick performed on my vehicle (chrome delete/mirror wrap). The business is very nice, with a clean, "at-home" atmosphere if you decide to wait. I will definitely be returning for any future needs and encourage anyone looking for tint or wraps to visit Tint World in Newport News.

  This is my second visit to Tint World for tint on my vehicles. The tint is high quality and reflective to UV rays, keeping your car cooler in the summer months. The tint comes in 20, 15, 10, and 5 percent darkness and is installed to perfection. They removed my old tint for an additional fee before replacing it with the new tint. The tint is ceramic quality and comes with a money-back guarantee for as long as you have it on the car. If you have any bubbles or notice any defects, it is covered under the guarantee and will be fixed for free. The quality of the work is good. However, the problem with this location is scheduling and follow-through. I came in and spoke to the store manager to schedule for Friday at 8 a.m. We agreed that I would bring my vehicle in on Thursday before closing at 6 p.m. The manager clearly seemed to be struggling with his scheduling system. When I got home, I received an email from Tint World with an appointment for Thursday and a drop-off on Wednesday, 24 hours before our agreed appointment time. I confirmed both. I should have called to clarify, but I trusted the system and dropped the car off on Wednesday for an 8 a.m. appointment on Thursday. When I arrived Thursday around 5 p.m., my car was not ready. The store manager who scheduled the appointment was not there. The staff told me they were overbooked, had to miss their lunch because of it, and had not even begun work on my car. When I asked why no one called to notify me of the delay, I did not get an answer. I was told they would get to it on Friday, which they eventually did. On Friday, I received a call from the manager. He said he heard I was upset about the car not being done and "going off" (which was not true). He said he wanted to compensate me for the inconvenience by offering an additional discount, but that discount was never applied. I still paid full price. He also asked if there was a separate key for the hatchback. I brought the key to the store, but the manager had left early again, so I left the key with an employee. That employee personally started working on my car right away, gave me a clear completion time, and the car was finished when promised. The employees made it clear they are routinely overbooked, and that is unacceptable. The store manager needs to get control of scheduling and keep his promises to customers. I had scheduling issues and missed return times with this location on my last visit as well. Unless the management fixes these ongoing problems, I cannot recommend this location despite the quality of the tint itself. I hope they take this feedback seriously and correct it.
