I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent experience at this location because there were several issues that I believe warrant management’s attention. First, parking was extremely limited. The parking lot is very small and appeared to be overcrowded with vehicles, which made arriving and waiting for service unnecessarily difficult. I scheduled an appointment to have two tires replaced. I arrived early for my appointment, yet I ultimately waited more than three hours for the work to be completed. Other customers had been waiting 5 hours or more for their vehicles.I understand that unexpected delays can occur, but I do not believe a three-hour wait for two tires is reasonable when an appointment was scheduled in advance. The most concerning issue, however, was the change in price after I had already been waiting for approximately two hours. I was initially provided a price and authorized the work based on that quote. After waiting for two hours, I was informed that the price would be nearly $250 higher because the tire size was slightly different and had allegedly been quoted incorrectly. I have owned this vehicle for more than four years and have replaced the tires twice previously. I provided the tire information when making the appointment, so I have serious concerns about why the incorrect tire size and pricing were not identified before the work was authorized—or, at a minimum, before I had already spent two hours waiting. I asked the employee, “Why wasn’t I made aware of this sooner?” I received no meaningful explanation or response. At that point, having already invested more than two hours of my time, I simply told them to proceed with the work because I wanted to leave. I also want to address an additional concern regarding the discount. During the visit, I asked whether a military discount was available. Shortly afterward, I was presented with the increased price. I cannot say with certainty that the two events were connected, but the timing understandably raised concerns for me. Additionally, I noticed that the discount applied appeared to be a senior citizen discount rather than the military discount I specifically asked about. If a military discount was not available, I would have preferred a straightforward explanation rather than having to question what discount was actually being applied. As a service member/veteran and a customer, I expect to be treated with honesty, transparency, and professionalism. Mistakes can happen, but the way those mistakes are communicated and handled is what determines whether a customer feels respected. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that my time and business were not valued. I would strongly encourage management to review how appointments, tire sizing, pricing, and military discounts are being handled at this location. Based on this experience, I would not currently recommend this location to others, nor do I plan to return to this particular location. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve the customer experience.

We were traveling to vacation when we had issues with one of our tires. Mr Tire was able to get us in immediately and replaced all 4 tires as quickly as possible and we were back on the road within 1 1/2 hours. The employees were very helpful and kind. What could have been an absolute nightmare turned out to not be so bad.

I've had repeated frustrating experiences with Mr. Tire in Newport News on Warwick. Each time I call, Nikki is rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. I'm told she's too busy and I'm brushed off instead of getting basic assistance. I purchased a service protection plan expecting support, but I've had to go elsewhere just to get help. Customers deserve timely, respectful service — this location has not provided that.

I recently went to visit family in VA and decided to get an oil change while I was there. I got the oil change and as they are driving my car out of the garage, it started leaking oil everywhere. They said they forgot to tighten the drain plug bolt so the took it back in and fixed it. I was on my way back home which is a 6 hr drive when my battery light came on. I prayed to make it back which I did and then noticed that the alternator had oil spilt all over it. I was like whatever it could just be old so I replaced the alternator since it now was failing($200). I needed to get under my car to replace my steering rack bushings and realized that my undercarriage protector bolts were stripped so bad that I had to cut them off ruining the protectors ($200 each for $400). Then I look under my engine and see that they dropped the old oil filter and left it there and it is wedged in my car now. Although this oil change was $65 it has cost me now $600 in total for damages. I have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner which is known to be one of the easiest cars to work on. I do not recommend this shop at all. Might as well drive your car off a cliff. -100/5

****Be warned, especially if you don’t know cars**** If your car tire needs a patch and you are desperate, keep on rolling to the next place. They are going to try and soak me for a $400 Pirelli tire. What a joke. They are going to tell me their tire patching device was lended to another shop. I literally can’t laugh any louder in my living room. And on top of that, what mechanic wears slides into a bay? I’ve never seen the levels of gumption this place has dwindled to. They do whatever it takes to tell you no and warp their own narrative of how things will go. I understand shop standards, but there is nothing real about this place. Doors locked during open hours. A cheap handwritten sign on the front door (Have some pride where you work). Allowing customers in the bay to walk through. That’s not good. Do better, and be better. **** Oh, and if they tell you that you are next up, you aren’t. That’s a tactic to get you to leave your vehicle.**** This was my second time coming and will be my last. Go to Firestone, or elsewhere and get your work done.
