I didn't want to have to post a complaint but after l wasted a trip because you refused to fix your mistake now l am. I had my windshield replaced on 6/26 and discovered that the headlight sensor had stopped working. I had to waste my gas to return to the store and a younger white male with glasses had no clue what l was talking about. The technician was an older man with gray hair, a mustache, and a New York accent. He lied and said there was no headlight sensor. On page 5-57 of my vehicle’s manual it says the rain sensor is in the rear view mirror also behaves as a light sensor. I am attaching this photo. Are your employees liars, stupid, or both? Did you not think l could confirm where the light sensor is located? I am going to another location for the 3rd trip. This should have been fixed in one trip. You will keep hearing from me until this is resolved to my satisfaction.

Terrible customer service and zero ability to problem-solve. Scheduled an appointment for a windshield replacement for 1P-6P on 6/27. Given this, we had planned our day around Safelite's given availability. Nevertheless, the technician called at 10:30AM to advise that he was finished with his prior appointment and would be heading our way. At 1PM the technician advises that he's unable to complete the windshield calibration due to "rain" (it was barely raining and obvious to anyone with the ability to look up, that it would soon pass). The light drizzle is over within 10 minutes and I receive a notification that I've been charged for the full price of the service, despite the service being incomplete. Safelite customer service was unable to explain to me why the technician didn't just return to complete the service (or just wait 5-10 minutes like a reasonable person would have done), given that there was still 5 hours remining in the appointment window I'd been given. The calibration appointment was then rescheduled for today, 6/29, between 1P-4P, however I received a call at 7:30AM, that the appointment needs to be cancelled due to rain. At this time, there's a 5% chance of rain and we're 5.5 hours away from the appointment window. Now, it's 1:30PM and I'm looking at a sunny sky and 0% chance of rain. Customer service was unable to provide any answers as to why Safelite is avoiding completion of the job that I've been charged for nor has anyone been competent enough to propose a solution. The lesson learned is that once Safelite has your money, you're no longer a priority. We will take our business elsewhere in the future.

Wouldn't even give it one star if I could. This isn't the first bad experience I have encountered with Safelite but it will be my last. My trim was left popped up which allowed water to collect in my door. My factory installed camera was left in pieces and dangling upon completion. I'd say the job was done in a hurry. This was done after my first appointment was cancelled because if a "equipment failure" according to Blake my technician. There were really no other details but my window was from 1-6 and he had said he would be there about 3:30pm. He called at 3pm to let me know he was t coming and someone would reach out to reschedule. I waited till the next day and still haven't heard from anyone so I called and the next available appointment was 2 weeks out from 8-1. Then, 2 weeks later 8-1pm comes and goes and crickets from Blake who is my technician again despite me asking for someone else. He finally calls after I called to ask where he was and said he could come in an hour. So this is the work I received when he did finally show up.

I scheduled a mobile service to take place on Wednesday between 1-6PM. Took the day off of work to be there. 4 PM I call the customer service line to make sure I did not miss the tech despite not hearing a knock, a doorbell, or receiving a phone call. Customer service told me that they were still dispatched to me and to wait. 6PM, nothing. Call again. Customer service closes at 5 PM. I use the text message service and am given a different number to call. That line attempts to call the shop. Unable to reach them. Tells me the job is still active and to wait until 7:30PM and call back to reschedule. 7:30, nothing. I call, person attempts to call shop. No answer. Tells me to wait longer. 9 PM, nothing. Call again. Person attempts to call. No answer. Told they will leave information for manager to return call at 8 AM Thursday. 9 AM Thursday, nothing. Call customer service. They attempt to contact shop. No response. We attempt to reschedule mobile appointment. They say nothing is available. Tell me in-person appointment is available at 3 PM same day. Pack up and leave work for 2nd day to bring car to this location. I arrive at the shop at 2:15 PM. Go to check in, they check to make sure my glass is there. They say it is. As appointment time nears, they call me over and say they cannot honor the 3 PM appointment. They are overbooked. I witness two additional customers come in with similar stock and scheduling issues. I ask if I can reschedule back to a mobile appointment. They tell me my area is outside of their service range despite being able to schedule it online. Call customer service, they attempt to call shop. Shop doesn't answer. Walk into shop and hand them my phone directly. Receptionist and customer service argue over why I cannot he helped today. That "between insurance, customer service, and physical customers, they have 2-12 customers a day that go unserviced." Take phone back, customer service tells me they cannot schedule the appointment as mobile either. I can take the car elsewhere or drop it off and wait until Monday, today. I drop it off for 9:30 AM appointment Monday. 9:15 AM, customer service tells me everything is fine, they verify appointment. 9:45, receptionist at shop calls to tell me the windshield didn't come in. I tell her their tech checked and told me it was physically there Thursday, that they just didn't have time to put it in. Receptionist tells me they will call me back after looking into it. Two hours pass. No return call. Customer service cannot reach them. I have called the number they contacted me 7 times. No answer. At 11:30, I go get in car. Call for 8th time, they answer. They answer. Receptionist tells me they didn't have my glass there, claims they never had it. Say they sent someone to the warehouse to get it. Will call me back when it arrives. 15 minutes later, they call, glass has arrived. Drive to location, hour commute, wait approximately 20 minutes in lobby, car is completed. Work is good. They gave me $100 off for the trouble. Technician did good job, but site is a communication black hole. Scheduling is comically unreliable. Whatever problem exists at this location is systemic. 2-12 customers like me a day taking time off of work and doing all of the correct steps to schedule appointments, only to be turned away or blatantly ignored is unacceptable practice. It should not take three appointments and 30 phone calls, two emails, and managers involved to get service.

My insurance company recommended Safelite for my windshield replacement on my Mercedes-Benz AMG. Unfortunately, my experience with Safelite has been very disappointing. Safelite charged me my deductible and also received the remaining payment from insurance company for the replacement. However, the repair has still not been completed. We have already made three trips to the shop, and a fourth appointment is scheduled for July 11 to complete the repair and perform the camera calibration. According to a Safelite employee, the wrong windshield was installed in my vehicle. As a result, the forward-facing camera cannot be calibrated, leaving one of the vehicle's most important safety features disabled. The next appointment is to remove the incorrect windshield, install the correct one, and complete the required camera calibration. While I appreciate the insurance company for the excellent claims service, I cannot recommend Safelite based on this experience due to the repeated visits, incorrect installation, and the fact that my vehicle has been left without a properly functioning safety system.
