I rarely leave reviews like this, but over two months of trying to get Safelite to resolve an issue they caused, I feel other customers should know about my experience. Safelite replaced my windshield on August 7. During the installation, the technician damaged the molding on my vehicle, and the replacement windshield had a scratch. After weeks of trying to get this corrected, a technician finally came last week with new molding and another replacement windshield. Unfortunately, the NEW replacement windshield had a huge scratch and couldn't be installed. We rescheduled and Safelite was a complete no-show. Today the tech showed up and guess what , no moldings. After the tech called their manager they hace the moldings but can not send someone with them , instead I have to wait another 9 days . You would think they would care enough about customers who have been drug through the mud for 2.5 months and expedite it but no. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of accountability. I have repeatedly asked to speak with the District Manager and Regional Manager. I have been told their contact information cannot be provided and that someone would call me. Rinse and repeat, same excuse over and over. So, two months after Safelite damaged my vehicle, I still have a scratched windshield, damaged molding, and no resolution. Mistakes happen. A company shows you who they are by how they handle those mistakes. I gave Safelite multiple opportunities to make this right before posting this review. At this point, I am escalating the matter beyond the local store because simply trying to work through Safelite's normal channels has gotten me nowhere. I will gladly update this review if Safelite takes ownership of the situation and properly resolves it.

Dakota, the Installer was rude and a very poor representative of the company. They scheduled our service and my wife took a day off only to find out at our original appointment window that they didn’t have our glass and made the appointment in error. We had to waste another day off the following week once the Glass finally did arrive. There were parts from my car sitting on the floorboard after the installation was finished by Dakota. I’m still not sure what the parts are for but I don’t want them working on my car again. Overall terrible experience with Safelite on Midlothian Turnpike.

The customer service was deplorable, and the quality shoddy. The inspection sticker was destroyed which was expected, what was not expected is the sloppy reapplication of a clearly destroyed sticker to my brand new $800+ window. I found the employees to be apathetic and careless which does not give me confidence in the job that was done installing my windshield. Update: they reinstalled the wipers on my brand new vehicle incorrectly which I learned during a terrible rainstorm. The error resulted in physical damage to my vehicle and loss of visibility while driving in the storm that nearly caused a wreck. When I brought this to their attention the situation was laughed off.

We took my wife’s car to this location last monday to get the windshield replaced. Dropped off first thing in the morning and was told it would be done by the end of the day. Got a call saying they weren’t able to replace the windshield due to a “broken part” and it would be several days before they would get the part and to come get our car in the meantime. When we arrived to pick up the car we were told the new windshield was somehow broke during install and they had to put our old windshield back on for the time being. During the time we waited for a new windshield we got heavy rain in our area and water leaked in from the bottom of the windshield through our dash and into our floor board. Made many attempts to call the hull street location and never could get ahold of anyone. Even safelites own customer service reps couldn’t get in contact with anyone from that store. We ended up getting our insurance company involved and they were able to get in contact with the store after many attempts. Had no choice to take it back to them to fix the windshield and for them to “determine” if anything else was messed up due to the water coming into our car. I highly do NOT recommend this location and honestly at this point not even safelite at all. Take your cars to a local shop that will care and keep you in the loop!!

I went through Safelite in Richmond to replace my 1996 Honda Accord windshield back in 2015 and it was a nightmare. First, the glass broke in transport so I had to reschedule. Then after the service was complete, the bottom seal didn’t take sure I had to reach back out to try to get it fixed and that didn’t go well. Needless to say, I was hesitant to use their services again. The tech from this location was great. Ricardo arrived within his expected appointment window. He called when he was on the way so I would be ready for him. He listens to my concerns about using Safelite again. He was professional and pleasant. He finished the replacement within the expected timeframe. The glass was clean, there was no residue, and no debris left behind. As far as calibration, it looks like everything is in order sensor-wise as well. I paid for the middle experience so i also received new wipers. I’m not a cannot the wipers, but that’s my preference and I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to get around getting new ones before the replacement. Overall, I had a much better experience this time. Thank Ricardo and Safelite for making this a much better experience for me.
