She checked it for me then told me I could call the store in Ohio and they may be able to confirm I bought it there. Both she and the gentleman from my city in Ohio were most professional and helpful. Cant be more pleased that I can now enjoy the rest.of my weekend with my family

I was told both by the young female sale clerk and then the manager that they couldn’t test it and that “I” Would have to go to another location after I had driven 25 minutes to their store. Instead of believing me, they made their problem my problem. I had to drive all the way to Centerville to have them test it and I was right, it was dead. The manager at the Sudley store just completely blew me off… and didn’t care the value of my time. I recommend everyone go to AutoZone. Cleaner, more orderly and the staff cares.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
