  I recently stopped by Zip’s Car Wash on Wards Road in Lynchburg, Virginia because it was conveniently located near several errands I was running. I normally use car washes in Forest, but I’ve always considered Zip’s one of the top options in Lynchburg since it was one of the first express car washes in the area. The actual wash itself was great, and the attendants were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience changed once I got to the vacuum area. The vacuums had very little suction and struggled to pick up even basic debris from my vehicle. I completed only the driver’s side before deciding to leave because it was taking far more time and effort than it should have. Most express car washes provide two vacuum attachments, but all of the narrow extension tools were out of order, making it even more difficult to clean hard-to-reach areas. I was really disappointed because what I expected to be a quick and convenient stop turned into a hassle. I ended up having to drive across town to another car wash and pay for an additional wash just so I could access vacuums that worked properly and finish cleaning my vehicle. The staff was excellent, and the wash itself was fine, but the vacuum station needs significant attention. If the vacuums had been functioning properly, my experience would have been much different.

  I just have to give acknowledgment to the assistant manager Mckenzie. I was in the vehicle behind another customer when i overheard a customer said they did not speak good english, Mckenzie surprised me and went through and talked to the customer in spanish. I was shocked and very pleased to overhear Mckenzie go out of her way to help and make sure the customer was satisfied with their experience. I was so pleased i purchased a membership, we need more people like this. Way to go Mckenzie!

  BUYER BEWARE, Stopped in for one car wash and without my knowledge wound up with a “subscription.” No explanation, no consent given. Agree with others service is overpriced.

  Came here for a quick wash an early Saturday morning.. Mr.Justin was the only one there at the time handling customers & starting washes.. He was very helpful & did it all with a smile.! You dont see great customer service like that often, it deserves to be recognized.!
