  Paid $25 for car wash that simply didn’t wash car. Showed employee and they said they couldn’t do anything about bc company policy. What!? Do not recommend!

  I am very disappointed with my recent visit to ZIPS in my 2025 Tundra. I requested a basic wash and asked about dirt being left behind. I was told Basic was broken, so I upgraded. The manager assured me the truck would receive a triple wash to ensure no dust and sand would be covered by the hot wax the manager and I had an entire conversation. After the wash, the tailgate was still covered in dust and sand, bugs remained on the windshield and front grille, and the tires and rims were still very dirty, with only patches of tire shine. The truck did not look much cleaner than when I arrived. I showed the manager the condition of the truck. She said corporate does not allow the equipment to be lowered to properly wash truck beds and stated that trucks at her location never get completely clean. She offered a Supreme wash but admitted I would likely have the same result. I have used ZIPS locations across the country as a military family and have never experienced this. The manager said it’s completely normal and it happens to every single truck. This contradicts the conversation we had at the beginning. I left without even vacuuming. I would like this location reviewed and would appreciate a refund or appropriate resolution.

  Rolled in after a road trip because the vehicle was covered in bugs. We do not have a Zips membership (out of towners) so the $12 regular wash didn't apply to us. We received an average $18 regular wash that was probably worth only $12.

  I recently stopped by Zip’s Car Wash on Wards Road in Lynchburg, Virginia because it was conveniently located near several errands I was running. I normally use car washes in Forest, but I’ve always considered Zip’s one of the top options in Lynchburg since it was one of the first express car washes in the area. The actual wash itself was great, and the attendants were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience changed once I got to the vacuum area. The vacuums had very little suction and struggled to pick up even basic debris from my vehicle. I completed only the driver’s side before deciding to leave because it was taking far more time and effort than it should have. Most express car washes provide two vacuum attachments, but all of the narrow extension tools were out of order, making it even more difficult to clean hard-to-reach areas. I was really disappointed because what I expected to be a quick and convenient stop turned into a hassle. I ended up having to drive across town to another car wash and pay for an additional wash just so I could access vacuums that worked properly and finish cleaning my vehicle. The staff was excellent, and the wash itself was fine, but the vacuum station needs significant attention. If the vacuums had been functioning properly, my experience would have been much different.
