  I rented a 26-foot box truck from this location for a personal move. First issue: The truck was in great condition, aside from two leaks in the roof that ruined my wooden furniture in the rain. So when you rent these trucks, ensure that your personal items aren’t ruined in bad weather. I didn’t even try to make a claim with Penske because it wasn’t worth my time. I'm just writing this here to warn anyone about this location's trucks. 2nd issue: I was sent my final bill after returning the vehicle with an additional $64 charge in fuel. Before returning the truck, I topped it off with diesel, as stated in the instructions. Any time I rent a vehicle, I record video and picture evidence of the fuel being topped off before returning it in case of fraudulent charges. I tried to resolve the issue with the office, and they stated they “run into this issue all the time” and that “they document each case to provide proof.” The owner had no desire to attempt to resolve the situation. I called the corporate office, which contacted the Roanoke location, which oversees this Lynchburg location. The manager in Roanoke issued me a refund, no questions asked, and did not ask to see my video or picture evidence. Be warned: This location will fraudulently charge you for extra fuel. I can’t imagine how many customers they’ve done this to, and then the customer never checks the final bill.

  Why would you have a 12pm pickup time slot when you close at 12pm? It shows horrible customer service to not take into consideration drive time, weather, traffic etc. if you advertise pickup at 12pm closing should be 30min after that… thats common sense for all businesses. You don't seat someone at a table at a restaurant at 5pm if you close at 5pm.
