  Blew out a tire while out of town on a trip on a Sunday afternoon. They made sure to get us fixed before closing.

  I woke up to a flat tire the morning I was supposed to go on a trip to see my son who was on leave from the Navy. I called Mr. Tire based on a recommendation from a friend. Victor was super friendly on the phone, told me they could help me out as soon as I got there. AAA came, put on my spare, and I went up to Mr. Tire. They were friendly, Understanding, and worked quickly to get me back on the road. Victor also initially thought I was going to have to replace all four tires, because that’s the way Subarus are, but then they discovered that my other tires were new enough that they didn’t have to. They could’ve sold four tires and I never would’ve known any better. I appreciate a business I can trust, I’ll definitely be back and will recommend them to others.

  I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from both the Fort Avenue and Old Forest Road Mr. Tire locations. My issues began at the Fort Avenue location, where the staff failed to complete the service they were supposed to perform. Because the store was going to be closed the following day, I was instructed to take my vehicle to the Old Forest Road location. To avoid any confusion, I specifically asked the employee at Fort Avenue to contact the Old Forest Road store and let them know I would be coming. When I arrived at the Old Forest Road location the next day, I was met by the manager, Victor. From the moment I tried to explain the situation, he was extremely dismissive. He never made eye contact, appeared completely uninterested in hearing my concerns, and after I finished explaining everything, he casually said, “I’m short-staffed. I can’t look at that today.” After dealing with this issue with Mr. Tire for over a month, being brushed off in such a nonchalant manner was incredibly frustrating. Victor and I exchanged words, and I ultimately left without any resolution. I have interacted with him in the past without any problems, but during this visit his attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. After reading other reviews, I noticed that several customers have described having similar experiences with Victor. It’s unfortunate that this level of customer service appears to be tolerated. A manager should lead by example, and customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of how busy the store may be. To make matters worse, I ended up taking my vehicle to the Madison Heights location, where the experience was completely different. The staff there provided excellent customer service and identified the issue with my vehicle within three minutes of inspecting it. For additional context, I had taken my vehicle to the Old Forest Road location on three separate occasions before eventually purchasing new tires at the new Fort Avenue location. Fort Avenue installed the wrong tires and claimed they had rotated them, yet they never did. I continued to have the same leaking tire, which confirmed the original issue had not been addressed. Overall, I am 100% dissatisfied with the service I received from both the Fort Avenue and Old Forest Road locations and I could give them 0 stars, I would. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer service is unacceptable. The only positive experience I had throughout this entire ordeal was at the Madison Heights location, whose staff demonstrated the professionalism and competence I expected from the beginning.

  I cannot thank Phil and the other staff members enough. I was visiting Lynchburg and on my way into town I had a run in with a deer that made me nervous to drive all the way back to North Carolina without having my car looked over. I originally brought it to Berglund Toyota, as my car is a 4Runner, but they seemed to act like I was overreacting and didn't care enough to schedule me in, in fact no one there even called me back like they were supposed to. Ended up at Mr. Tire and the entire team was friendly and helpful, not to mention personable! Normally sitting around waiting on your car is boring but they made us laugh and talked with us like they truly cared about their customers. Sure enough, there was an issue with my tire alignment, and they had it fixed in a short period of time, and what I paid felt extremely reasonable. Cannot recommend enough!
