- CNCera NorrisApr 20, 20261.0Battery installs are free for a reason... they have no clue what they are doing. Sent a young kid out to change my battery, he didn't want to (was cursing out the guy who asked him to help me as we were leaving the store to my car). Install was much longer than expected (30 minutes compared to 10 at another place I had my battery replaced 5 years ago). At the end he dropped his ratchet in my car and told me it's no big deal its fine. I said I'd appreciate it if he'd get the ratchet out. 4 men tried to do it (2 were not employees of the store, just guys in the parking lot) and still i was told, "youre battery works so just drive until the ratchet falls out." I had to leave with a ratchet rattling in my car. I hope there's no further damage. This car is the last thing I have of my mom's and I'm trying to keep it working so things like this are really unacceptable.

Even in terrible weather conditions Erik helped me out with the battery testing and gave me a quote on a battery. I also noticed Joseph helping customers with the wiper blade installation, which he was quick and professional. I’d definitely recommend having Erik or Joseph help you when you visit the store. 10/10 CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
