  I had a large crack in the windshield of my 2025 Kia Sportage X-Line and was sent to Safelite through my insurance. They installed aftermarket glass, then told me they couldn’t calibrate my car’s safety systems (forward collision avoidance and lane keeping) with it. That left me driving a car whose safety features weren’t working. When I asked Safelite to fix it by installing glass that could be calibrated, they told me to go through insurance. The glass claims line I was routed to only works with Safelite, so I got nowhere. I had to call my insurance company directly and get an adjuster involved to have the job redone at the Kia dealer’s collision center. If your car has a camera mounted on the windshield, ask Safelite up front whether they can calibrate it with the glass they plan to use, and get the answer in writing. I wish I had.

  Customer service cashier was very disrespectful and unprofessional,it's like I made her work there,made get out her bed and deal with customer, overall her customer service skills is trash ,need to be removed from the front desk

  Very satisfied with the entire experience. Customer service was perfect. The staff at the office were very professional and friendly. It's refreshing to see we can still find excellent customer service with a skill in a time when it's so hard to find.

  Their whole gimmick of repairing your windshield so you wont have to replace it is the biggest scam ever. Its an easy way for them to charge you then make the Crack worse and force you to replace the entire windshield.....with them of course. All because they dont stand behind their workmanship by saying that it happens, not the fault of the technician. Not surprisingly when I brought this up at work, 2 of the other nurses at my hospital had this happen in the last month. Never again will I use safelite.

  Took 3 tries for them to get the on-site appointment time & location right. Installation was fine but the windshield I received is a cheap Chinese aftermarket unit. There was no mention at any time that I would not get an OEM windshield. The price was similar to local shops that do provide OEM glass. It has a graininess to it, likely caused by the plastic film between the inner and outer glass layers. It's not severe but is noticeable and distracting. Being aftermarket, it doesn't have the Ford logo at the top, minor, I know but adds just that little bit more to the disappointment. Also, my rearview mirror vibrates like crazy now. There was an overwhelming amount of communication throughout the process. Probably half a dozen phone calls and at least a dozen texts, may were unnecessary/redundant and they still got the location wrong on first try and the day wrong on the 2nd try. While the idea of onsite replacement is appealing, IMHO it's just not worth the compromise, and in my case, the scheduling aggravation. I will go back to using a local shop in the future.
