Unfortunately, my experience today was completely different and by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered, at any shop, ever! The employee who assisted me was not only unhelpful, but also extremely rude throughout the interaction. Instead of trying to answer my questions or help me find what I needed, he seemed annoyed that I was asking for assistance at all. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism, and neither was provided. I hope management addresses this issue because the poor service I received today does not reflect the positive experiences I have had with other employees at this store in the past.

He was knowledgable, reassuring and offered multiple options and I never felt like he over sold me on any parts. He really took pride in his work and he generally seemed like he wanted to be there. His friendly banter was engaging and I would highly recommend this location to my peers. This is coming from a guy who lives in Northern Virginia. Please know that he is a valuable team member and any company would be great to have such a charismatic guy on board!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
