I told him I wasn't a mechanic either—which is exactly why I was there, to get his help. He said it wasn't his job; he just sold things. He was a short guy wearing an earring. He walked away and left me waiting, and then another guy about the same age—who wore glasses and had a better attitude—came over, but I still couldn't find anything. If they work there, they ought to know how to find the part, or at least have a good attitude toward customers—after all, the customers are the reason they have jobs. Without customers, the store wouldn't function, and they wouldn't have work. If that’s how they’re going to act, they’d be better off just staying home and sleeping!

The girl behind the counter actually said it's too hot out (was 70 when I went) then said the Wifi doesn't connect. Lol! Wifi? For a battery test? Give me a break. Sounds like laziness to me. I went to the Advanced Auto by Potomac Mills Mall and they helped me with no problem. No wifi necessary. I will never go back to this lazy store.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
