We recently had to go through Enterprise after our family vehicle was totaled in an accident. Our insurance set us up with a rental through this location, and I had the chance to work with Austin and Reuben. Both were very professional, respectful, and took the time to walk me through how long I could keep the rental and everything I needed to know before taking the vehicle out.
While we were inspecting the car, Reuben also mentioned their Enterprise Car Sales division as an option when we were ready to purchase a replacement vehicle. We ended up going that route, and that experience was very positive as well, so I wanted to give him a big thank you for pointing us in that direction.
The only issue we ran into was with the fuel policy when returning the vehicle. Based on my understanding at the time, I believed that if the tank was below 3/4, they would charge around $3.75 per gallon to bring it back up to that level, and that it would come out of the security deposit. When I returned the car, I didn’t refill it under that assumption. However, I was instead charged about $6.55 per gallon, which used up my security deposit and still resulted in an additional charge of about $5.67.
It’s possible there was a misunderstanding on my end, but that part of the experience was frustrating. Had I known the actual rate, I would have simply filled the tank myself before returning the vehicle.
Aside from that, everything else went very smoothly. The rental vehicle itself was clean and in great condition, and the staff continued to be kind, courteous, and professional throughout the process. It’s a bit of a shame, because this would have easily been a 5/5 experience otherwise, but that miscommunication around the fuel policy brought it down for me.
Overall, still a positive experience, and I appreciate the help from Austin and Reuben during a stressful time. Thanks again.
