  I always get my oil changed here great customer service they have always done a great job but yesterday they had a young lady that didn't know what she was doing,she couldn't get my filter to go back in my car,i told the manager and he asked one of the guys to help her she was nice, but that's not the job for her i don't want her to ever touch my car! She also couldn't read the oil stick she had to get the guy to help her. Blessings!!

  Went to get my oil changed on a Tuesday because I had a business trip the next day and I was driving my vehicle to Roanoke which is a 3 hour commute! Upon my oil change finish a low oil pressure warning came on as I was pulling out the bay. Then a message saying turn of engine now. I spent 3-4 hours at Valvoline, before being told they needed to send my car to the shop. While they did put me in a rental car, the whole process was such an inconvenience. I was not offered a free oil change, I was not offered a refund. Then to make matters worse while I’m out of town they call me with the urgency to pick my car up the next day from a mechanic shop in Henrico which was a 30 minute commute from where I live . There was no sense of accommodation on my behalf. I was not even asked if I had a ride home from Valvoline in Chester. My husband had to leave work earlier to come and get me when I was told my car was not safe to drive. A simple oil change turned into a nightmare. At minimum I should have been offered transportation home, and either a refund or a free future oil change. The simple act of putting me in a rental car for a day or two , and fixing my car was not only mandatory considering they created the problem, but it was used as a I’m sorry I screwed your day up but you can go get this rental, but make sure you have money for the deposit hold. I ended up coming out of my pocket $160 and my car was sitting in a shop. Yes ultimately the rental car does release the hold. But what if I did not have the money for it? What if I didn’t have a ride home, no one offered, I will never return to Valvoline in Chester, Va.

  Staff was very professional, friendly and efficient. I brought my hybrid in for 1st time so was not familiar with my needs... oil weight, etc. I had replaced cabin filter myself and there was no "up sale" pressure.

  Best oil change experience I’ve ever had. Jon was personable and thorough. Team got it done in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommend this location
