I had the BEST car buying experience with Jeremy and Mike at UDRIVE. These guys were patient with my purchasing decisions and they held true to EVERY word. Jeremy would call to confirm our appointments and Mike is very knowledgeable about the purchasing process, very patient. I will be back!!!! Thank you guys for all your hard work!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Read this before buying a vehicle here. On April 27th 2026 I came to this location because I was in desperate need to get a reliable vehicle due to medical appointments and the bus system in norfolk is a joke ! Anways on this day i purchased a 2017 Range Rover Evoque from U Drive My total transaction was $13,842.53. Before purchasing it, I was not allowed to test-drive the vehicle. I was only allowed to turn it on while it remained parked in the parking space. I could not actually drive it on the road before handing over my money. A friend was with me and witnessed this. Then, ONLY 15 DAYS LATER, on May 12, I was back at U Drive because the vehicle was already having problems. About 5 guys came to the vehicle and started checking things on the car mind you they took the vehicle to the back for like 1 and a half hour they say they can't fix the car there because they are not equipped to work on the vehicle but since I paid for the warranty to called the warranty so i can get the vehicle fixed also I was told the repair would be covered under the warranty, so I relied on what I was told and followed the warranty process. That turned into months of frustration. DOWC connected me with RepairPal to find someone to work on the vehicle, but the repair facilities contacted would not work on the Range Rover. Eventually, the vehicle ended up at Checkered Flag Land Rover. I am now facing approximately $10,000 in identified major repairs ON TOP OF the $13,842.53 I already paid—and those repairs still do not resolve the underlying electrical problem. My signed U Drive Buyer's Order also shows: $1,500 — “Service Contract” $45 — “Service Contract Tax” When I contacted DOWC directly, their representative told me the DOWC Limited Warranty associated with my vehicle was provided at no additional cost. When I asked what the separate $1,500 service-contract charge on my U Drive paperwork was for, he told me he did not know. I have formally appealed DOWC's warranty denial. On August 13, I went back to U Drive IN PERSON looking for a resolution. After everything that has happened since I first returned with problems only 15 days after buying the vehicle, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do for me. So here is where this purchase has left me: I am out $13,842.53, facing approximately another $10,000 in repair costs, and sitting with a 2017 Range Rover that DOESN'T EVEN TURN ON. Think about that. Nearly $24,000 between the original transaction and the major repairs I'm now facing for a vehicle I purchased in April, returned to the dealer with problems 15 days later, and that now doesn't even start. And even that approximately $10,000 in identified repairs still does not resolve the underlying electrical problem. I understand that I signed paperwork stating the vehicle was sold AS IS. I'm not hiding that. But AS IS does not change what happened to me or erase this timeline. I have retained my purchase documents, warranty paperwork, repair records, estimates, communications and other documentation. I also have witnesses and recordings supporting significant portions of what occurred. I'm not asking anyone to take my word for it, and I'm not telling anyone what conclusion to reach. I'm giving you the dates. I'm giving you the numbers. I'm telling you exactly what I experienced. You can decide for yourself whether this is where you want to spend your money. I know what my answer would be if I could go back to April 27.

I went to look at a car. A specific vehicle. I spoke with Kevin, who printed out all of our agreement and everything to be set up. We already got the loan approved from the bank. We got the check in hand. And before we could get back up there, at the time and date set up, they sold it out from under us. And then pretty much said oh well first come first serve. They explained if there were a deposit (to which we didn’t know anything about and would have put a deposit down at time of negotiations) They would’ve held the vehicle and offered a link to put a deposit down. And within minutes of that conversation, the gentleman who was wanting the car was up there with the check to get the car Then they try and offer something else on the lot. At this point, I will never do business with them and anybody that ever says that they’re going to go there to get a vehicle. I will refer them to go to someone else.
