  Was initially charged $89 in just labor for a 30 minute oil change. After some back-and-forth with the gentleman at the counter the labor cost was reduced by about $25. The gentleman at the counter showed me that my total was going to be around $160 if I hadn't supplied my own synthetic blend oil and filter (which I ran across the street and bought at the auto parts store because Tire Choice didn't have my specific filter in stock when I showed up for my oil change appointment). In the end I paid Tire Choice about $68 for an oil change where I supplied the oil and the oil filter.

  I recently had tires placed on my vehicle. Chevy Cruz 2017. I also needed brakes and rotors replaced, but opted to have that addressed at another location. Upon taken my vehicle to change the brakes and rotors, it was determined that I needed all new lug nuts, because the tire choice mechanic place slightly smaller lug nuts onto the wheel stud. I had to pay an additional $100 plus dollars to have them "all" replaced. They have great customer service there, but sometimes their service execution lacks and their customer pays the price. This is the second time I had a vehicle serviced there and the result didn't meet the expectation.

  Avoid if you expect professional service from the start. Here’s my experience: I’m the 1st person in the door first thing in the morning for a state inspection (middle of the month… not a rush). I called the day before and was told first-come, first served. I get to the desk and the employee asked me if I was “waiting or dropping off?” Up until this point, everything was good. After I said “waiting”… he immediately said (verbatim quote here) “then don’t ask when the car will be ready”. My response - “well… I would like to know if it will get done today?”… his response… “there are cars in the parking lot (from yesterday) ahead of you”. Aside from the real problem being VA state inspections being a waste of time and money… my issue is how can you tell the customer not to ask how long the service will take??? I understand this gentleman is probably tired of the same routine every morning… but I am a customer with choices. I have to preface, there was not a negative attitude projected between either one of us during this entire conversation. The employee did try to walk his statement back and say “well not every car on the lot was ahead of me”… but at that point I was already walking out. In my opinion, you have one chance for a first impression… for this place I will never return. There are plenty of a places to do business with and I caution everyone to think twice about this one. If a simple state inspection leaves a sour taste… I can imagine asking them to put new tires on for me will not go well. Just as a note, I drove down the street half a mile, walked in and was third in line at a different store. No issues and they told me how many were ahead of me and got the work done a few minutes ahead of schedule.
