Best experience. Jen and Travis are phenomenal. Travis hand delivered my motor and helped me get her on the bracket and run a full check. Went way above and beyond what a dealer needs to do. Thanks Lancet!
What can I say about Lancet Marine, they’re amazing…I have nothing but respect appreciation and admiration for this team. They have been servicing my boats for a decade and have always been great to me. Any time I call them or text them, they’re there to help me and my team get my boat serviced immediately. Which is huge for a charter captain. They also stand behind their work which I can say many shops don’t or they charge you an arm and a leg for the work they did. You don’t have to worry about that with Lancet Marine. With them they will treat you like family and get you right and get you right back on the water. They also give back to the community and host charities which is huge in my book. Great job team Lancet, Travis and Jenn…See you soon for the next boat project, that’s right they’ll help you customize your boat to your needs as well…#tightlines

Super friendly, super knowledgeable, excellent customer service and you can't beat the prices!
Lancet Marine gets it done promptly with high marks and 5 out of 5 stars!
Between the dynamic duo of Travis and Jen in the Lancet Marine office located in Chesapeake, VA and the unknown talented wrenches in the back service bay, you could not get a better combination. I have an older Protrack 165 bass boat that came with a two-stroke Mercury 25 HP outboard and wanted to downsize to something legal locally, yet upgrade with better performance. I purchased a 9.9 Suzuki with a complimentary 5-year warranty and asked Lancet Marine to swap out the outboards and controls.
After surveying my boat that needed some upgrades - Travis asked if I wanted, the Morse throttle and steering cables wrapped for a better appearance and weather protection, a fuel water separator installed and a battery cutout dial switch installed, and of course I thought okay - here’s the upsell. However, I agreed – all great ideas he came up with and I am completely satisfied with the final product.
I also wanted to redistribute the weight in the boat since the console is in the starboard position, which accommodates a majority of the weight [boat driver, batteries, and console]. The old fuel 5-gallon fuel tank and two batteries were also on the aft starboard to centerline position also offsetting the weight distribution to starboard. I asked to have them repositioned and it was no problem for some custom work since the old fuel tank was going to be removed and fill line capped off anyway. They installed both batteries to the port side with expertly installed posts and battery trays opposite of the already installed battery charger. The smaller 3-gallon gas tank was positioned nearly centerline with easy access and capped off the original fill line with a sharp looking Lancet Marine logo plate. Nice work – just what I had asked for!
Friendly Customer Service: Once I dropped it off, we talked about timeframes since I had to travel for an extensive amount of time overseas on a project. Both Jen and Travis could not have made it easier as they worked the schedule with me keeping me abreast of the progress and eventually allowed my brother-in-law to pick up the boat when it was ready well before I came home. Everything went smooth and was very cost effective. Jen even helped me locate someone to sell my older two-stroke Mercury 25 HP outboard as an additional plus. I did not have to deal with it; Lancet Marine coordinated the transfer for me. Jen is also very helpful with identifying part numbers and ordering parts directly from their OEM salesperson – she knows her details! She will also call you directly or text to let you know the status of your parts. As an invested customer service oriented owner - Travis even escorted me for a quick impromptu waterborne test at the Great Bridge Lock Park landing on another service event after I replaced a water pump in question from the OEM… Try getting that kind of communication and excellent customer service out of the large big name shops…
Whenever I have a friend that requires boat work or wants to purchase a new outboard [Tohatsu & Suzuki] – I refer them to Lancet Marine that has a surplus of outboards to choose from readily available. Whenever I have questions or issues with my two boats Bass and Carolina Skiff – I call Travis as he is very helpful either over the phone or tells me to “Bring it over, we will have a look for yah.” Overall, I give Lancet Marine all high marks for availability, affordable cost, willingness to help, and excellent customer service that is hard to find elsewhere…
Give them a call- you will not be disappointed.
Thank you Travis & Jen!!! Much appreciated.

Had Lancet Marine do a full update on my boat. New tohatsu, cleaned up the electronics and wiring, new battery and bilge. They did a great job, super professional and helpful along the way.
