  Great service! Excellent customer service. Went ABOVE and BEYOND. On a Sunday to boot. Out of tower here, heading home from the OBX at 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning and experienced what everyone dreads, car trouble on the highway far from home. After several disappointing phone calls, some tears (on my part) and almost giving up, Matt from Hickory made some magic happen. A few short hours later we were back on the road and heading home. I can not stress enough how grateful and appreciative our family was for this company and their service. Thank you Matt, Edgar and the best tow truck driver around (We started chatting like old friends and idr if we even exchanged names).

  I another successful tow. I hired Hickory Towing to tow my Honda Pilot they came out in time and were very professional with the results they are very friendly and came out expeditiously. No problem. Thanks again

  Although I never actually used Hickory Towing’s services, I wanted to recognize a gentleman associated with the company for his kindness and professionalism. When I was stranded on the side of the road, he stopped to check on me and then followed me all the way to the mechanic to make sure I arrived safely. In a stressful situation, his presence was incredibly calming and reassuring. He had no obligation to stop, but he did so simply out of kindness. That level of care and concern for others speaks volumes about both his character and the company he represents. I’m truly grateful for his help and would absolutely recommend a business that values people the way he did. Thank you for making a difficult day a little easier.

  Hickory Towing, our answer to prayer! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We were on our way from PA to our family vacation in OBX with my wife and 4 kids and our vans alternator failed and left us stranded on a road in Chesapeake Virginia at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. We said a prayer that it would work out and started calling around to repair shops and tow companies and we were told we would probably be looking at Monday to get the car looked at. We kept calling around and reached Matt from Hickory Towing. I told Matt I had 4 teen kids in tow and he said let me figure it out and call you back in 5 min. Matt called back and had a plan for us: he would tow us and the car over to the movie theater and let the family catch dinner and a movie. In the meantime, he would fix up the van and he would hopefully be finished up by the end of the movie and tow the van back to us so we can continue on our way. AND HE DID IT!! He brought the van back about 20 minutes after our movie was over (around 8pm) and Matt himself stopped by to make sure we got on our way safely. Honestly, I still can’t believe that Matt agreed to help us on a Saturday evening and pulled off fixing the van and getting us back on the road. I was also prepared to pay a hefty “weekend tourist” fee and instead I got a very reasonable rate for the services he provided. I even tried to offer a tip to Matt for exceptional service, and he refused and told me to spend it on the kids. Matt and Hickory Towing are the kinds of people and companies that bring joy to this world in challenging circumstances, a glimpse into how we are meant to care for each other. I felt like I got the family and friends6+ treatment from a man who I don’t know and likely wont run into again, I sure hope I do though! God bless you Matt and your family.
