  I have been here in the area 21 plus years. Have been going to Dellinger’s for about as long. Today I requested to have tires rotated on my 24 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I was told by the girl that called and the service manager we cant work on your car , it’s too fancy. Wait, What? When does an auto shop turn down service on a vehicle ? Did you even look it up to see what it actually was? Does the owner know you are turning people away on a tire rotation? You work on Mercedes, BMW, and overcomplicated other vehicles but can’t rotate tires on my Alfa? Ok well this tell me they do not know what they are doing or do not trust their techs. Dave

  This shop was the closest auto shop to me when late afternoon my car started making a horrendous extremely audible screeching sound. I stopped in and knew they closed in an hour and I didn’t have an appointment, so I wasn’t hoping for much. Within 10 minutes a service technician brought me my keys and said a small pebble was lodged in the wheel well of my car scraping against metal when the car was in motion. The most shocking part of it all; they refused to even charge me for the visit.

  Everytime any one in my family has taken a vehicle here for the past 12 years it’s been no less than 5k for even the smallest of things and it’s always an entire days wait even if we’ve pre booked something in advance or dropped the vehicle off at night for first thing in the morning work. It takes 2-3 days for tires or any in depth repair. Worst place I ever took a car or truck too. I found a better family mechanic that I’d rather spend my money at. Don’t wast your time with this one, just because it looks busy dosnt mean it’s great.

  They had an unbelievable deal for 4 tires, rotate and balance for life, 4 wheel alignment, and an oil change and AND they got me in in like 33 minutes from my first call. Phenomenal. Same day edit. From 5 stars They took it in but then it sat in the parking lot all day and they didn't start it until we called a half an hour after they said it would be ready. They just forgot about it.

  Basically they need to work on customer service, but the work they did is good. I recently got a state inspection and had my oil pan gasket and rear main seal replaced at Dellingers. I called up before hand to find out pricing and to ask how long they would need it, so that I could arrange for other transportation. I was told it would take 2 days. I was then told I could make an appointment online. So, I made the appointment to drop off Wednesday afternoon so that I would be able to have it back by Saturday morning. I wrote in that I wanted the gasket replaced and a state inspection. On Thursday the shop called me at 3 o'clock in the afternoon to inform me that they did the state inspection, but I was going to need a new oil pan gasket (one of the reasons I had dropped it off). I told them I knew that and asked when it would be done. They said that it would not get to it today (Thursday). Friday morning at around 11, they called again and told me that there was a mixup with the gasket supplier in Virginia Beach and it was not in stock and they had to get it from another place in Hampton and it would not get there until Friday afternoon. Also the mechanic that was going to work it would not be in on Saturday so they probably wouldnt get it back to me until the earliest Monday, but more likely Tuesday. Finally on Tuesday morning they called and my truck was ready for pickup. I picked it up Tuesday afternoon. By this time my truck was now covered in bird poop from sitting under one of the trees on the property over the weekend. Additionally, I found over the following weekend, while making sure that none of the gaskets were leaking, that the shop had taken off my transmission inspection port cover/dust cover and not put it back. So I stopped on my way home from work on Wednesday and asked about it. They looked around the shop but couldnt find it and said they would order a new one and it would be there by 8AM on Thursday. If I came back the next day they would put it on real quick for me. I came back Thursday afternoon only to find that the cover had never been delivered and was then told that I had to drive down to O'reilys and pick it up myself. So then I had to drive down to O'reilys, get the cover, and install it myself. Kinda ridiculous after paying over $2200 for a repair. On the bright side, the gaskets arent leaking so far.
