- KKKevinJun 14, 20262.0Bought ratchet straps that were ridiculously too short and was told I couldn’t return them because I couldn’t put them back in the packaging, so they could resell them to another customer, so I left them with him and we’ll just dispute it with my bank instead . Was that $12 worth losing a customer? Because I’ll be skipping every one of your stores from now on : I’ll be headed to AutoZone right next-door, which takes returns and has much better Customer Service; and who knows about their product. This guy didn’t even know how ratchet straps worked . So if you’re looking for an auto parts store, skip this one and go to AutoZone that’s 50 feet away from this location.

- ASAmos StricklerMar 10, 20262.0The staff at this location failed to warranty a battery, despite it being labeled a "distributed by advance auto". Staff refused to look at or test the battery because it was slightly drizzling. They referred me to customer service because they couldn't locate my purchase in their system, customer service also failed to locate it. Luckily for me not all advance auto employees are ineffective. I took it to the Princess Anne location. An employee named Buddy took a look, got the part number and started the warranty process in less than 5 minutes. You can't rely on this branch to give good advice or honor warranties, I would avoid this location.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
