Im a Jersey girl. However when i heard about the outstanding work 3 Guns Customs does i took the 6 hour drive to them. Best decision i made! Not only did they fix what the last trailer company did to my truck 😒 which left my truck with several holes in the bed. They did a fantastic job covering holes along with trailer hitch and bumper. They used premium materials on my truck took their time also keeping in touch along the way. The CRAFTSMANSHIP they did means the world to me! I definitely recommend and will be only using them for work done on all my vehicles!!
THANKS SO MUCH GUYS!

I finally found the rare vintage car that I wanted and the 35-year-old Paint on the front and rear bumpers had seen better days so I thought I would bring it here to clean it up. I also had a crack in the front bumper repaired, and the license plate holes covered up. There was also some panels repaired, and that work was done incorrectly as well. After six weeks, the paint has continued to shrink and you can see in the photo all the repair work that was done and the paint is beginning to bubble where they applied the fillers. At first they wanted to make it right and repaint these repairs, but I’m now stationed in Florida, so I’m going to have a different shop do it. When I tried to get a partial reimbursement, they began to backpedal and started making false claims telling me there was repair work in these spots previously and that’s why it is reacting now, but that just is not true. They also sanded and painted the VIN numbers on the bumpers which destroys the value of this rare collectors vehicle. They tried to tell me there were no VIN numbers, but I personally inspected the car before purchasing three months ago and if those numbers had not been there, it would have been a negotiating tool for me.
I should also mention the car was given back to me very dirty with buffing compound in all the door, jams and overspray on the glass.
This work is below average and I would not recommend taking a vehicle here if you care about having nice work done and keeping the car in perfect condition.

I stopped in here on a Monday morning for a quote, right as the shop was opening its doors and the receptionist told me I would have to wait until they are finished with their Monday morning meeting. I kindly said that’s fine and had a seat in the waiting area. Meanwhile they sat in the other room discussing for about 35 or 40 minutes. They knew I was waiting. They can see me through the glass, but when they were finished, they all filed past and not a single person acknowledged me. I went to the receptionist and she said I will just have to be patient, but at this point i was fed up and left. I wonder is it the way i look? Im a G, but not a BLT.

Update: everything in the response from this company is a lie. They tried to hide that there was a flaw in the paint work they had ✅ . It was actually their receptionist that accidentally spilled the beans while she was handing me my keys and I went out for a second look. They knew I could not wait around for them to do the work again because I was traveling from out of town and wanted to fix the car up before my wife saw it. There were absolutely no underlying issues or previous work done. There were five deep dings inline with the door handles and this car is 35 years old and the accumulation of small dings and worn out paint, which was the reason I was here in the first place. Have a look at the video. Does that look like underlying work or does it look like some quick cut rate type of get them out the door garbage autobody repair.
Previous review: I left a negative, but honest review of this company and they had it flagged for removal.
Basically the quality of workmanship is poor and it appears their technicians have not been trained on how to do the work properly. The goal here appears to be get the job done and collect the money then if there’s a problem afterwards, deny all liability.

Why go elsewhere, when word of mouth will lead you back to where you started. The only wise choice for collision repairs and painting.....3 Guns Customs!!!
Can you match the paint on my truck after a fender bender?
Yes. We utilize advanced computerized color-matching technology to achieve a seamless match. Whether your vehicle is a pearl-white SUV or has a metallic finish, our technicians carefully blend new paint into existing panels so repairs remain invisible under bright Virginia sunlight.
How long will my repair take?
Each job is unique. A straightforward bumper repair may take 2-3 days, while more extensive structural repairs requiring parts ordering can take one to two weeks. After disassembling your vehicle and assessing the full extent of damage, we'll provide a projected completion date and keep you informed throughout the repair process.
How does 3 Guns repair damaged fiberglass?
Fiberglass components incorporate a variety of composites and manufacturing methods, so there's no universal restoration approach. The specific damage type often determines the materials needed-from standard polyester resins to high-performance epoxy systems. To ensure structural integrity and repair longevity, we need a brief in-person assessment at our facility. This enables us to accurately identify the composite type and deliver the most effective solution for your particular situation.
Why do body shops ask if I have a budget?
We discuss budget early in the process to align our services with your specific goals, not to evaluate your project. While we typically work in the mid to high-end market, we pride ourselves on flexibility. At 3 Guns, we maintain transparent pricing and offer customized repair plans through a tiered service model-from show-quality finishes to cost-effective daily driver restorations. Our goal is to maximize your budget by utilizing various paint lines, alternative parts sourcing, and paint correction techniques that can sometimes eliminate the need for new paint altogether. Establishing a budget range helps our team select appropriate materials and methods to meet your expectations while delivering the best value for your vehicle.
Can I get an estimate over the phone or via photos?
While photos serve as a useful starting point for a rough estimate, a professional assessment requires an in-person inspection. Damage is frequently concealed behind bumpers or beneath panels that aren't visible until we conduct a closer examination. We provide detailed, written estimates to prevent any surprises down the road.
What is "orange peel," and can you fix it?
Orange peel is a textured finish in the clear coat that resembles the skin of an orange. It's common even on factory vehicles. We can correct or prevent this through wet sanding and buffing, which levels the clear coat to create a mirror-like, glass-smooth finish.
Do you offer paintless dent repair (PDR) for hail or door dings?
Yes. For minor dings or small dents where the paint remains intact, our Chesapeake PDR services offer a fast and affordable repair solution without requiring a full respray. This is a popular choice for local drivers looking to preserve their car's resale value after a storm or parking lot incident.
What is the difference between an OEM part and an aftermarket part?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are produced by the company that manufactured your vehicle (e.g., Ford, Toyota). Aftermarket parts are manufactured by third-party companies. While aftermarket parts may cost less, we prioritize OEM parts whenever feasible to ensure proper fit and maintain your vehicle's safety ratings and resale value.
Can you paint just one part of my car, or do I need a full respray?
We can certainly paint individual panels. Through a process called blending, we apply new paint to the repaired panel and gradually feather it into adjacent original panels. This ensures that even slight variations in paint age remain invisible to the human eye.
Does 3 Guns only paint cars?
At 3 Guns, our philosophy is straightforward: if it can be painted, we can handle it. Equipped with two state-of-the-art spray booths-including a 60-foot industrial booth for oversized projects-we have the infrastructure to manage jobs of any scale. Our portfolio is as diverse as our clientele. We've successfully completed finishes for heavy duty and fleet vehicles (semi-trailers, fire apparatus, and ambulances), automotive and marine equipment (cars, trucks, boats, and jet skis), aviation (both full-scale and RC helicopters), and specialty items (field artillery, gun safes, motorcycles, and even intricate small-scale items like sewing machines and collectibles). Whether you have a commercial fleet or a custom passion project, our team is dedicated to delivering your vision with a flawless, professional finish.
