Was on vacation with the family in Charlottesville when we experienced a flat tire. The crew at NTB fit us in thier busy schedule, and got us on our way in a matter of minutes. It is rare these days to find an organization that cares about their customers. Jonothan and his team are the exception!
I came in on a SUNDAY with brake issues and Jonathan and Mike looked at my car right away and DIDNT CHARGE ME. Super grateful this place was open, very friendly and efficient, and I highly recommend.

Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy, and Jonathan at the service desk was excellent - friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the process.
My appointment was scheduled for 2:00 PM, but my vehicle didn’t make it into the service bay until around 3:00 PM. There was also an oversight with the wheel alignment check, but the technician quickly took my car back in and completed the alignment once it was brought to their attention. I had four new tires installed along with an oil change, and the total service time was a little over two hours.
Despite those couple of issues, the overall experience went fairly smoothly, and the staff was courteous and easy to work with.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought a brand-new tire on Monday to replace an old tire. By Saturday the tire experienced a failure on the highway. The tire lost air and became unsafe, forcing me to put on my spare. The rim was undamaged, which support that no road impact occurred.
I came in first thing Sunday and got the run around. They claimed the tire experienced damage from the road, but when asked to identify where on the tire the damage was, they were unable to do so. I asked multiple times for the damage to be identified or to return the tire to me, since I no longer trust their abilities with tires.
They suggested I should have bought road hazard insurance, which was never offered at the time of purchase. They then asked me to buy 2 road hazard packages in exchange for a “free” replacement tire, likely attempting to profit, from a failure they could not even explain.
I was asked to wait repeatedly for 2 hours, which felt designed to discourage me from pursuing my claim. All of this for a tire with less than 400 miles of use in under 5 days.
NTB could not identify any damage yet refused to stand behind their product or installation. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for tire services.

I took my truck to get inspected and NTB claimed the steering rack and pinion was leaking. Actually the rack and pinion was not leaking, but it did have oil stains. The Virginia State inspection checklist says the auto inspection stations cannot use oil stains to flunk state inspections
Her are some interesting facts about most auto repair centers promoting auto safety inspections:
In Virginia, the primary lobbying forces pressing to preserve and enforce auto safety inspections represent the automotive repair and dealer industries. The top groups advocating for vehicle safety inspections include:Virginia Automotive Association (VAA): Represents independent repair shops, mechanics, and tire dealers. They actively lobby state lawmakers against proposals to eliminate annual inspections or extend them to every other year. The VAA retains lobbyists like Bo Keeney and Mariah Merhige to monitor legislation and advocate for the industry in Richmond.Virginia Automobile Dealers Association (VADA): Represents new car and truck dealers. They work extensively with the Virginia General Assembly and the Department of State Police to shape and protect automotive regulations. These groups maintain that annual, qualified-technician inspections are necessary for public safety, while also ensuring steady business and labor revenue for service stations and dealerships.
