  The kindest group of gentlemen! I had bought a used mini cooper that broke down almost immediately. There are not many places in Blacksburg that work on European cars so I had to do some research on where to take my car. After talking to a couple places, Auto Repair Specialists had the best prices so I decided to take it there! They were always there to help fix the issues for great prices. After a month of issues we decided it was a lemon car and I would have to spend more money fixing it than I paid for it. I was able to come to them and ask for advice. They helped me not only with maintenance but with advice on what vehicles I should look for next. I was able to bring them cars pre purchase and see if it was worth buying and with their help I ended up purchasing a car that will last. I cannot thank this group of men enough for helping me get through a tough situation with their kindness and wisdom!!

  Would not recommend this establishment. I had a bad experience with them a couple years ago. My car broke down, and despite me having Triple A, I was forced to use their towing service by the police because my car was in the road. When I asked for the car to be dropped off at my apartment, the driver argued with me to take it to their shop, and I eventually agreed. They then called in the morning to say "the car is done for" and they would buy it from me for parts. I wanted to take it to my trusted mechanic in Richmond after seeing negative reviews. Whoever runs the shop decided to yell at me "I'll pay you $1 million if this car ever goes on the road again!". Great customer service, man! Sorry but I'm not taking a few hundred dollars for a car I have spent THOUSANDS in repairs on. Don't worry the story ends well - I was able to sell it more than double what they were going to give :). Greedy liars trying to take advantage of a 19 year old college kid.

  Auto Repair Specialists provided stellar service! While visiting Blacksburg, I unfortunately ran over a nail. This left me desperately needing new tires ASAP. The mechanics gave me a great price on my tires and plenty of reassurance that I’d get home in one piece! I would highly recommend anyone who needs any maintenance on their car to check this place out.

  Increasing engine coolant leaking. They pressure tested it, located leak at thermostat housing and installed new. Leak persisted and they recommended, ordered and installed an aluminum thermostat and housing. Due to previous problems with expansion tank issues on both my BMW's they recommended removing the OEM plastic tank and replacing it with an aluminum one. Did not do it this service but intend to do both in the near future
