I brought my RV to McGeorge Camping World in Ashland, Virginia on September 11, 2025 for repairs. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
It took nearly 4 months to complete the repairs, and communication throughout the process was very poor. I repeatedly had to call for updates myself, and several times I was promised a callback that never happened.
Now that spring has arrived and I de-winterized the RV to begin traveling again, it appears that some of the repairs were never properly completed as promised. In addition, the winterizing service appears to have been done very poorly — it looks like the grey and black tanks were not even emptied before storage.
For a company that specializes in RV service, I expected much better workmanship, communication, and follow-through. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their service department.
My wife and I experience here has been a nightmare. I wouldn't recommending anyone buying from here. Very dishonest management staff. We put $1500.00 down to do a contract on a rv. Still waiting on refund that wss promised to be put back to my card. Back said no pending amount of 1500.00 not showing. Called back yesterday evening only to be told all managers are busy. When youbtrying to buy theyblike hungry sharks. Found out later that the RV they were trying to sell us was very unsafe and has history of electrical wire issues, besides that a list of other issues like Tolit back up plastic screws , axsle breaking door warping, and more. We told sales person we wanted something safe and reliable. Went home did more research on the particular rv and found it to be very unsafe.
Don't buy from here if you are looking for honesty with your purchase for a safe rv for you and family. I don't like posting negative posting like this but I can't them any credibility for anything at this point.
I really wish I had listened to all the horrible reviews. Bought a BRAND new Eddie Bauer class C. On our first trip one week after purchase we took our first trip and had a TON of issues. Set an appt with McGeorges service (couldn’t “get us in” for another week. It’s now been sitting in their service lot for 3 weeks and while we’re told it was “assigned to a tech” a week ago - they can’t tell me where we are on the repairs. Horrible to make an expensive purchase and then go to the back of the service line. I wonder what would happen if I just stopped paying until no can actually use the thing! I wish I hadn’t bought it.

My wife and I sat out to purchase a camper. I have had campers before my wife never has nor my daughter. We had heard a few good things about this business from friends. So we thought we would check them out. Our Sales Person was @Marcus Bouldin
Marcus was exceptional for us. My wife and I have had issues with sales people before buying vehicles and it’s like they just nag at you all the time. I understand that they need to make Sales to live, but they should also figure out their customer. I’m sure some people enjoy that! Marcus was great. He stepped away when he needed to. He listened to us picked out some campers for us to look at. I think Marcus had not been very long starting there so the things he did not know he did not feed us a line he went and found out which was awesome. The family picked the camper we wanted . He got us to deal we wanted . We were all set while he was doing his paperwork. We were on her phone still looking and we found what we thought was the perfect one. They just happen to get one in it was the finishing up being going through to go on the selling lotand he said no problem. Marcus took us to see it. We went through the whole thing again and we bought it so I highly recommend this young man and @George’s RV.

Absolutely outstanding experience purchasing our fifth wheel from McGeorge RV. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and genuinely enjoyable.
A huge thank you to Janelle Brown, who went above and beyond throughout the entire experience. She was knowledgeable, responsive, patient, Fun and never made us feel pressured at any point. Buying an RV is a major purchase, and Janelle made sure every question was answered and every concern was addressed with honesty and professionalism.
What really stood out was how much she truly cared about helping us find the right fit for our needs rather than just “making a sale.” Her communication was excellent, she kept us informed every step of the way, and she made the entire process feel easy and stress-free.
The entire team at McGeorge RV was welcoming and helpful, and you can tell they value customer service and long-term relationships.
If you’re considering purchasing an RV, I highly recommend McGeorge RV — and definitely ask for Janelle Brown. We could not be happier with our experience and are excited to start making memories in our new fifth wheel!
