  I rarely do I write reviews, but my family and I recently stopped in to just look on our way home from vacation. The receptionist was great, telling us to wait while a salesperson came to help. That's when we met Jaz. She was friendly and understood we didn't want to waste our time. She took us out to look at the RV we were interested in and seemed to have the owner's manual memorized. She was so knowledgeable about the product and answered all of our questions. When it came time to negotiate the deal, we met her Sales Mgr. Bo. He was a great guy, easy to talk to, and not pushy, understanding we were all very tired from the drive, so we proceeded home. Within a couple of days, we made the deal. This being my 6th RV purchase, these people set a high bar for the entire RV industry to follow. Stop in to any General RV and you will see.

  Michael, Lisa, Andrea and Mark...the Dream Team. After being ghosted by a Florida location, within minutes of me calling Richmond, I was all hooked up with my appointment to pick up my unit and with this super team. The minute I asked a question it was addressed. Amazing service with a smile. Felt completely taken care of. Rare in this day and age. A+++ Thank you for a great experience and I love my new camper. Oh and I need to add that Andrea stayed after hours to make sure I had heat for the night. You were my hero that night Andrea.

  In November 2025, I had a tire blowout on my camper that caused damage to the bathroom sink and other areas. I brought the camper to this location for repairs and was not contacted until May stating it was finally ready for pickup. When I arrived, I waited over four hours to receive my camper. There was also damage on the left side of the camper that I personally paid for replacement parts for, with the understanding that I would receive all of those parts back upon pickup. Out of five pieces, I was only given two. The condition of the camper upon pickup was unacceptable. The floor was scratched, the bathroom was left dirty with no cleanup performed, and during installation of the bathroom cabinet, screws were drilled completely through the wall of the camper to the outside, apparently hoping it would go unnoticed. After waiting another two to two and a half hours for an inspection, I was then informed that a light was not working. This entire experience has been one problem after another from start to finish. I live over an hour and a half away from this location, and now I am being told the camper has to go back again for additional repairs. This has by far been the worst repair facility I have been to. I am so disappointed in the place that sold me this camper and scabbed it back together. The shop Forman and general manager should be embarrassed. Where is the quality? None of them cared to speak with me as my frustration grew.

  I was in a very difficult situation. I needed a trailer inspection for my flatbed trailer. I called the store where they understood my need. The service and parts department communicated very clearly that this was close to the end of the day and if any work needed to be completed that parts didn't have, they would have to fail the trailer. After I arrived Lori Greene helped me, quickly got the trailer in the system and talked to the tech. From start to finish I was there less than 40-minutes! This is huge and I could not ask for better service. The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond. I knew I could trust this staff because I have purchased multiple RV. I was amazed that they took the time to help me even with a trailer General RV does not sale.

  I recently took my motorhome in for service. My service advisor was April. She took her time and took down all my information and went over all the services that we’re going to be completed. Later on as I was checked out and almost home, it was realized that one of the services was not completed. Obviously, I was not happy as I live almost an hour away. April patiently listened to me and my displeasure. She immediately reported to the service manager about the situation and they notified me that they would send the technicians to my home to complete the service. Mistakes happen, that’s life. I am more than satisfied in the way things were handled. Kudos to the General RV staff in Richmond for addressing this matter and making sure that the customer is treated fairly. Many of us feel as if once you spend the money and buy a recreational vehicle from most dealerships, when it comes to taking your vehicle and getting service work done that you are not appreciated anymore. This is certainly not the case with General RV in Richmond. Great Job!!
