  I had reservations from another company and our plane was delayed so after midnight, they canceled my reservation. So my wife and I were stuck until 7am so we would have had to wait for six hours to get another vehicle. I walked around and found Alamo had a manager hanging around so myself and another customer who was on the same flight asked him if he could do a rental car for us and he said he could. Saved our trip!!! It’s was more for Alamo but I was able to get a car and leave around 145am and I was very lucky and grateful of Alamo being able to get us into a car so late. There were people actually sleeping on benches waiting and I didn’t want to be that guy with his wife!! Very grateful for the manager helping us out!!!

  Great car rental experience. We were able to preregister, and go directly to our car upon arrival. It was quick and easy! No waiting in line. Our car was clean and a good value. They followed up with a text so we had direct access should we have needed anything while we had that car, which I thought was very nice and incredibly helpful if we had needed it. Return was just as easy. I definitely will look to Alamo first the next time I need a vehicle.

  Loved renting from Alamo at National Airport (DC)! Everyone—agent at counter, gentleman in garage providing direction, person who helped me get my car, person who checked me in when I returned the car—was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Car was brand new (72 miles on it) and immaculately clean. This was my third time renting from Alamo at National Airport and the experience has been consistently the same. I don’t think I’ll ever rent from anyone else there!

  I had been looking for a one way rental car for a few days with no luck and discovered Alamo. It was so easy to reserve and use their “skip the counter” option where I filled in all my information prior to picking up the car. I didn’t have a flight, so once I got to the airport I went to Garage A and truly skipped the counter and was directed right to my car. I only needed the car to get to Charlottesville, VA and it was so easy to drop it off at the airport. A tad expensive for a 4 hour rental, hence only 4 stars, but I think that is just due to the busy July 4th weekend coming up & one way trip. Overall a great experience and great customer service!

  This Alamo rental had a glitch at the end of the rental period, the car (new Nissan Altima) failed to start for our return to the airport. After I made alternative travel arrangements to get to my flight, the Alamo agents retrieved the car, offered compensation for the inconvenience, and discounted the rental charges. The company behaved as any customer would have expected and appreciated. I certainly did. The phone numbers to call and get help were a bit elusive, so that is my only suggestion, make sure you know who to call and the number to get through. Good job Alamo!
