  Had a good experience at the rental agency. I was able to upload my information prior to arrival at the agency. Received the car very quickly. The vehicle was fairly modern and quite comfortable. Quick process all around. Satisfied with the rental experience from Alamo.

  An excellent and very easy rental car experience at Reagan National Airport We rented a car from Alamo at Reagan National Airport and had an excellent experience from beginning to end. After arriving at the airport, we took the bus to the south end of the airport where the rental car facilities are located. The signage along the way was good, and we had no problem finding the Alamo counter. There was no line when we arrived, and the staff was very nice, quick, and efficient getting us checked in and on our way. After completing the paperwork, they directed us to the next floor up to pick up our vehicle. We received a Nissan Pathfinder, which I am pretty sure was an upgrade from what we had reserved, and there was no additional charge. The Pathfinder was clean, worked perfectly throughout our rental, and had plenty of room, which was especially nice since we were in town for a family event and needed the extra space. Returning the vehicle was just as easy as picking it up. We returned to the same rental car facility, followed the signs, and were quickly checked in. The staff was professional and pleasant and even helped unload our luggage from the vehicle. They then gave us very clear directions for getting back to the airport, including both the bus and the walkway options. Overall, this was about as easy and pleasant as a rental car experience can be. Between the good airport signage, no wait, friendly and efficient staff, excellent vehicle, and easy return process, I couldn't have asked for much more. I would definitely use Alamo at Reagan National Airport again and highly recommend this location to fellow travelers. Enjoy!

  We highly recommend using Alamo. My aunt and I both needed a wheel chair but it wasn't available from our airlines from the car rental. An employee of Alamo put us in a car and drove us to the terminal for our airline. We then realized that my aunt left her phone in the rental. They worked really hard to help us get that back

  I reserved a BMW or Mercedes luxury vehicle to be picked up at Reagan National at 6:30am on 28 August. I completed the advanced check in and arrived on time. The Alamo counter was closed and a sign referred me to the National counter. I took the paperwork I was given and proceeded to the garage. A National attendant looked at my paperwork and walked around the garage trying to find a vehicle for me. I ended up with a Genesis with 30,000 miles on it and none of the luxury features I expected from the BMW or Mercedes I had requested and paid for. The attendant tried to tell me the Genesis was a step up from the BMW 2 series or Mercedes CLA class vehicle that was guaranteed. That statement is not true. Quoting the confirmation email from Alamo, “This is a guaranteed selection.” I did not receive the vehicle I specifically paid for and could not wait around for someone from Alamo to decide to come to work. Bottom line: I paid for a guaranteed vehicle I did not receive, received a vehicle that was not a German luxury vehicle, and am left unsatisfied. I’m hard pressed to think of a reason why I’d rent from Alamo again. Final note, this review was solicited by Alamo. Curious as to how serious they are about customer service.

  Car was tip top. getting car was fast and easy. Had to change return location and was given very helpful assistance. I have not used Avis/Budget for over 2 years now and will never use them again. The difference with Alamo is worth any slight increase in price. Cars are in better condition and employees are superior.
