My car is now dying every 2 days requiring a jump start consistently. I came in for assistance and a battery charge and I was told my name isn’t in the system (I actually called a week prior and they easily found my information in the system on the phone). The person I spoke with said there was nothing they could do, and, in fact that it was my fault for not driving my car every single day without fail. This is unacceptable, a battery shouldn’t die in 48 hours consistently. I’m not leaving it for weeks I’m parking it for 2 days!!! But they insisted that’s the only solution. Insulting.

Today, however, Gemini recommended I hit this store to get a detail mitt and/or five finger detail glove -- both of which I was aiming to use to apply teak oil to our patio furniture. In the end, thanks to an amazing selection as well as a fantastic employee (Maira C), I purchased several additional items to help me maintain the finish on my auto. The experience was fantastic. The staff member hurriedly pointed us towards a General Purpose auto cleaner when we asked for help finding the a throttle body and air intake cleaner, and then closed the register at 8:55 pm (five minutes before closing), not letting us buy the correct one when we quickly realized this product wouldn’t work for cleaning the throttle body.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
