  I went to Woodlawn Auto Center to have my 2010 (145,000 miles) Toyota Sienna oil pan, drain plug, and oil and oil filter changed. I was tired of the local Toyota dealership charging me exorbitant prices for routine services. Moreover, through the years, other shops overtightened the oil pan drain plug and stripped the oil pan threads. I could have had the threads retapped but decided to go with a new OEM oil pan, drain plug, and drain plug gasket. I've been working on my own cars for four decades but could not do this job myself after the auto skills shop on Fort Belvoir changed to a Precision Tune. That's a whole different post on social media. The service manager did an outstanding job during the intake process. He was very helpful and quoted me a fair price using a flat rate labor guide. I've done many oil pan changes over the years, and I haven't always been successful sealing the pan with either silicone or a gasket. I was expecting Woodlawn Auto Center to keep the car overnight for the silicon to properly proper cure. Woodlawn Auto Center did an excellent job repairing the car. The car was ready the same day I dropped it off at the shop. The service manager said he ran the car for 20 minutes after the repair to ensure the seal had no leaks. Checking your work after completing repairs is the mark of a good shop and service manager. The service manager also did a 27-point inspection. The only task that wasn't done was resetting the maintenance light, which I can take care of. There was no padding of expenses, and the items the service manager noted on the 27-point inspection were legitmate. This is an excellent shop; they have earned my trust and business.

  Took my car in for service today. Did the 27 point service. The staff did a great job as usual and car was finished by noon!
