Waited for about 10 minutes in line just to have to wait another 10 minutes while the worker tried to figure out what part I was even asking for. I needed a hood lift arm but they never did find it on the website or when he searched it would say they didn’t sell that part. Eventually had to leave because we weren’t making any progress and I had to be somewhere else. Went to a different chain auto parts store in the area and they helped me within minutes.

But I suggested to assist me and finally she found it in their system but she told me we don't have it. That's it. HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
