  The discrimination that occurred based on my neurodivergence was treated with absolute prejudice. I talk a little different and I move a little different because I'm neurodivergent and I was denied beer and humiliated in front of other customers when I was just trying to enjoy my night. And I was not intoxicated, but I was accused of being intoxicated just for being me. The employee last night is a hurtful and horrible human being. And I want someone to talk to him and tell him how unbelievably distressed and horrible I feel today after being singled out and treated in such an egregious way. Whatever you do, do not go to this maverick. Do not give them your business. They do not respect you or anything you are struggling with. Horrible experience. Haunted by such an experience.

  If I could give zero stars, I would. There is a massive, actionable ADA violation happening at this specific location (54th S & 5600 W). Tonight, the male night clerk with the ponytail explicitly denied me service, claiming I was "slurring" and "moving weird." I was completely sober. I am autistic, which naturally affects my vocal cadence and kinetic movement. This clerk actively medically profiled me, completely misread a neurological reality, and weaponized my disability to humiliate and discriminate against me in public. This isn't just a simple misunderstanding; it’s a severe failure in Maverik's corporate training and a direct ADA violation. And clearly, this employee is a massive, documented liability. Looking at other recent reviews, this exact same clerk with the ponytail harassed another customer by demanding an ID from their 8-year-old child to buy cigarettes. He is fundamentally incapable of processing basic reality or context. Maverik Corporate and the local District Manager need to pull the security footage from tonight immediately. Keeping a rogue, incompetent employee who actively discriminates against neurodivergent individuals and harasses your local customer base is a massive legal and financial blind spot. I am escalating this formal grievance straight up the corporate chain.

  Came in here tonight to buy a pack of cigarettes. My daughter grabbed a bag of chips and I asked for cigarettes. The male clerk with the ponytail asked for both my daughter and my ids and I told him... she's my daughter, she's underage and she doesn't have id. He said.. I cant sell you cigarettes if your daughter looks underage(after I told him she's underage)🤷‍♂️.. I said.. I can't buy cigarettes with my kid with me?.. he says... she looks underage she needs id hahahaha, AMAZING.. like having an argument with my 8 year old..I didn't know it was against the law to purchase cigarettes while shopping with your kids.
