Isidro helped me with the questions I had about replacing my battery and follow-up questions I had about testing the existing battery I was having issues with. I would absolutely recommend going to this store to buy parts for your vehicle. I really like how easy it is on the automated system when you call their store to get to speak to one of the employees. That says a lot about the company itself.

- BCBrandy CarlsonMay 16, 20265.0On 4/29 I went to this store because my check engine light was on. As a female I am always leary of auto mechanics & auto part stores. This was not my first visit to Advanced Auto Parts in West Valley! I come to this store because the treat me with respect & are always friendly and helpful!! On 4/29 the store associate ran a test on my Nissan Kicks 2020 and found that my Masst air flow sensor was coming up. Upon inspection the filter was beyond dirty! See attached picture. We replaced the part & a few miles later my check engine light went off. In the mean time I was quoted around $350 to fix the error. Advanced auto parts saved me hundreds of dollars in auto mechanic billed hours! Thank you!!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
