- NNNathanJul 20, 20261.0The Maverik in Tooele, UT has really gone downhill and is in desperate need of attention. First, the exterior of the store is in poor condition. The property looks neglected, the parking lot concrete is cracked and falling apart in several areas, and the trash cans at the fuel pumps were overflowing with garbage. It certainly doesn't create a great first impression. I stopped in around 2:00 PM to grab lunch and the experience didn't improve once I got inside. Nearly all of the hot food items, including hot dogs, wraps, and other grab-and-go options, were completely sold out. The BonFire Grill menu board was turned off, making it impossible to tell what they were serving or even whether the grill was open. To make matters worse, the two employees working behind the counter appeared to be more interested in their phones than helping customers. The dining area was also disappointing. The seating area by the windows was completely inaccessible because chairs had been stacked on top of the counters to prevent customers from sitting there. The fountain drink station was visibly dirty and sticky, showing a lack of routine cleaning and maintenance. It seems like Maverik is so focused on building new locations on every corner that they've forgotten to take care of the stores they already have. A convenience store this busy should be clean, stocked, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this location was none of those things. Maverik, do better. Your customers deserve better than this.
