One of the managers Dean came out to check on us as they have had quite a few people that have done work on their cars in their parking lot and ended up spilling oil and lots of things which ruins the surfaces. When he saw what we were doing and I was teaching them how to do it he was very supportive and even gave some tips and information on some additional things for the car. I was really impressed by his support and how friendly he was. He had a great knowledge of the vehicle and procedures to fix it. Highly recommend coming here to get the items that you need. I appreciate the advanced Auto I have in my hometown but they don't have my friendly service, advice and help as good as this site does.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
