  The emissions inspector is incompetent. Took my vehicle in for an emissions inspection and after she spent 10 minutes looking in a book after completing the visual and OBDII test she failed it saying that the vehicle "had no catalytic converters". She continued to say that "if it at least had one she could have passed it." After contacting a trusted mechanic, and sending pictures of what I thought was the catalytic converter, he confirmed it was a catalytic converter. I went back to the location to ask about the discrepancy, pointed to the catalytic converter and she claimed it was the muffler. I pointed to the muffler (6 inches behind it) and told her that was the muffler and that the O2 sensor was in the rear of the catalytic converter. She then said that I was supposed to have 2 cats and one was missing up front and there had been visible cuts in the exhaust by the manifold. I climbed under to look for them and couldn't find what she was referring to. The vehicle has passed emissions several years in a row now and no one has commented about missing or modified exhaust.

  The manager there is one of the best. He's always understanding and has help me many times. Even when there was a miss communication with helping me.I was able to come back and get everything sorted out. great service

  Everyone on staff was friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and extremely efficient. They worked wonderfully as a team, heard out my requests, and answered my questions thoroughly. I always appreciate how transparent they are with offering me a list of services that will be due soon or are due without the pressure so that I can take time to look into the services myself and plan more time for a visit to take care of them. Thank you!

  If you just need an oil change and can't wait for over 30 minutes and you have a coupon, this place is not bad. Please do pay attention to all the "extra" stuffs they "provide", especially the air filter(s), etc., the price is ridiculously high and a total rip-off. Will never return to this site and any future Valvoline Instant Oil Change sites again.

  I had one of the most disappointing service experiences I’ve had in a long time at the Valvoline in Saratoga Springs. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in for a routine oil change yesterday — something that should be simple and done with basic care. Instead, my vehicle was left in a condition that clearly shows a lack of attention to detail and professionalism. When I got home and opened the hood, I found oil residue splattered across multiple areas under the hood — the engine cover, the air intake box, and even the top of the upper radiator support cover. This wasn’t a small drip — it was noticeable, messy, and completely avoidable. What’s most frustrating is that this should have been caught and cleaned before they said the job was done. It gives the impression that the job was rushed and no one bothered to do even a basic final check. If they were careless enough to leave a mess this obvious behind, it is hard to feel confident the rest of the job was done properly. I expect a place like this to take pride in their work, especially for something as routine as an oil change. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I will not be returning to this location, and I would strongly caution others to double-check their vehicle before leaving — or consider going somewhere that values quality and attention to detail.
