Okay, I’m quite literally BLOWN AWAY by McNeil’s customer service! First things first, Erica is incredible, that girl knows her stuff and she was so helpful and kind. Erica was able to help fit me in last minute, ordered a Lyft for me, and even helped carry out my groceries to the Lyft. Running into car problems is stressful enough, but running into car after grocery shopping was even more so, but Erica really helped make it all less daunting. Thank you Erica and McNeil’s Auto! 💕

Probably the most crooked shop i have been to. They claim they are "by the book" and they are... but only so that they can profit off you. Be prepared to talk with some of the most arrogant shop techs outside of a BMW dealership

We brought our car in for a repair. We had to bring it back twice. They failed to repair it correctly, and actually made it worse after the first attempt. After the 2nd failed attempt, we had to get the manager involved. He claimed he would personally oversee the repair and was confident he could fix the problem. We essentially paid close to $5000 to replace the entire front end aside from the ball joints, which he claimed were in good condition. They, again, failed to repair it correctly. We decided to take it to another mechanic. He had to literally tighten up all the parts that McNeil's installed and then discovered that the actual problem was a bad ball joint. We paid thousands more for unnecessary repairs that made the issue worse, not better.

I can’t say enough good things about McNeil’s. I have been taking my vehicles to them for over 15 years. They are honest and fair, and they stand behind their work. Allow me to elaborate on that point. A few weeks ago, I took my 2012 Nissan Xterra into them for an oil change and to have it checked out before I left on my summer road trips. Erica noticed that the Radiator on the Xterra had rust on the top of it and recommended replacing it. The Xterra has around 208,000 miles on it (yeah, I kind of drive my cars into the ground), and I had a Road Trip to Canada planned, so I followed Erica’s recommendation. The first day of the Canada Road Trip, the Xterra was running like a champ. However, at a rest area 15 miles from our destination, we noticed that the engine was leaking coolant. This was very concerning, but we pushed on to where we were staying that night (Ellensburg, Washington). As we made our way to our hotel, the Xterra’s temperature would spike, then go down to normal, then spike, then go down to normal. Made it to the hotel, and first thing in the morning we found a Mechanic in Ellensburg we could take it too. We had to be in Canada that evening, so we left the Xterra with the Mechanic, rented a car, and made our way to Canada. Two days later, the Ellensburg Mechanic told us that he found the problem with the Xterra overheating. The new radiator that was installed came with the wrong radiator cap. The incorrect cap was preventing the cooling system from equalizing the pressure in the system. As a result, the pressure would build up and release coolant out of the overflow container. Wow! All of this was caused by the parts supplier sending the wrong radiator cap. We made our way back to Ellensburg, picked up the Xterra and came home. I stopped by McNeil’s a couple of days later and explained what happened. Basically, the wrong radiator cap cost me $1,600 (total cost of getting the Xterra fixed in Ellensburg and renting a car). Erica asked me to send her copies of the receipts, and she would see what she could do. I received a call from Tim, the Manger of the Sandy McNeil’s shop. He apologized for the mistake and promised that McNeil’s would make me whole. And make me whole they did. I have been reimbursed for the $1,600 paid for the car rental and the Xterra repair. If you are looking for a Mechanic Shop that you can trust, that stands behind their work, McNeil’s is the shop you have been looking for. They do great work, they stand behind their work, and their Customer Service is top notch. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
