  Love the folks down at McNeils! I've been here a couple of times for various issues with my aging Tacoma and they've been able to help me iron things out each time with crystal-clear communication and full transparency about what may need to get done with relatively low pressure on getting them done. (I'd know, because I've embarrassingly had to put off some critical repairs the team brought to my attention for a year before I finally came in to get it all squared away). This time I was especially impressed by the professionalism shown to me by their team, who frequently updated me on the status of my truck and broke down their process so that I could understand exactly what was happening and was very upfront about the cost as well, so there were no surprises there either. Hell, I was even given an itemized list to go through of what can be done, what probably should be done, etc, and how much it'd cost, all before they could get started. I also highly appreciated them organizing alternative means of transportation for me too. For the couple of weeks my truck was in, I was never left guessing if it had been forgotten about or not, and could trust progress was being made on it each day. Much thanks to Josh and the rest of the team! If my truck falls apart again (God forbid), I'd take it back here in a heartbeat.

  McNeil’s did a wonderful job on a pre-purchase inspection for me on a car. They got it done in about half a day, were very responsive, and did a phenomenal job coordinating it with me before I ultimately purchased the car. Josh was the service advisor that helped me out and he did great!

  I always have a family friend experience for the last 21 yrs with McNeils. Always honest and open, great customer service and willing to work with my family. I am always recommending their services to family members.

  We were driving down to Provo, for a same day-roundtrip from Eastern Idaho when our car started alarming us that it was over heating, there wasn't any oil, and the battery wasnt working. We knew calling repair shops and getting in the same day was going to be tricky, but Tyler came to the rescue and got our car in! He kept us informed along the way, and had a loaner car that we could use. If we lived down near Sandy they would 100% be our mechanics. They had snacks and water during the initial wait for the inspection. They took great care of us!

  Unparalleled service. In a word, these guys truly care and they are highly detail oriented. They do a full inspection and flag anything of potential concern but don't push you to perform any additional repairs beyond what you absolutely need. I came in because my car's AC would occasionally produce a pretty nasty vinegar-like smell. I had gone to several other auto shops and mentioned this issue to them but because the smell was so intermittent, all of them just suggested I replace the cabin air filter but the issue persisted. I decided go to Mcneil's because many of the reviews mentioned a high level of attention to detail and maybe they could help me out. And they sure did: they thoroughly inspected my vehicle and found the passenger side carpet felt damp when the AC was running which allowed them to diagnose the likely cause of the problem which was a clogged evaporator drain tube. I am so thankful for them for being so mindful to my concern when other auto shops just kind of shrugged their shoulders. Mcneil's is the best, Erica is the best, the team is the best, thank you guys!
