  This Sixt location is fantastic. They are an off-airport location, but the shuttles run very frequently. They even have a website where you can see where the shuttles are on a map. Once there, there was almost no line at all, whereas I saw huge lines at Avis, Enterprise, Alamo, etc. in the terminal. The employees I interacted with were all super professional, friendly, and efficient. Car was perfect (Sixt always has the best vehicles, in my experience). I will definitely rent here again the next time I'm in SLC.

  I rented a brand-new 2026 BMW 340i with just 11 miles on it and put nearly 1,000 miles on it during my trip. The car was absolutely fantastic—quick, comfortable, and an absolute joy to drive. My only complaint was the phone customer service. After severe weather delayed my arrival overnight, I called twice and spoke with Josh and Joyce. Neither was helpful, and I even had to explain the difference between AM and PM to clarify my arrival time, which was frustrating after an already stressful travel day. Thankfully, Malika at the rental location completely turned the experience around. She was kind, understanding, and extended my rental by an extra day at no charge so I could still enjoy the full three days I had planned. Her excellent customer service made all the difference.

  As a platinum member, I had high expectations, and I was treated very well. They didn’t have the car I had reserved or the model(s) I requested and expected, but they gave me something useable for the first day and a half of my two week rental. It met my needs in the clutch and then they gave me the very best vehicle in their fleet a couple days later. Throughout the process, the communication was great and the Branch manager was very communicative. I absolutely will continue to rent vehicles from Sixt And would highly recommend Dalen and his team in Salt Lake City.

  1-Star Review – Sixt Rent a Car, Salt Lake City Extremely disappointing experience with Sixt in Salt Lake City. I am a Gold Member and made my reservation in advance for a 5:00 PM pickup. I completed the online check-in process and was instructed that I only needed to visit the counter to collect my keys. Unfortunately, that is where the problems began. Upon arriving at the counter, I was informed that the vehicle class I had reserved was not available. Instead of offering a complimentary upgrade, I was told that I would need to pay extra for a higher-class vehicle. As a frequent renter and loyalty member with Sixt, as well as a current Platinum and Gold customer with Avis, Budget and Hertz, I have never experienced being asked to pay more because the rental company failed to provide the vehicle category I reserved. I pointed out that there appeared to be a vehicle of the same class available in the parking lot. The staff then went to investigate, but I was left waiting for nearly an hour before the issue was resolved. What made the experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of customer service from management. Despite requesting to speak with a manager, no manager ever came to address my concerns or provide an explanation. The entire process turned what should have been a simple key pickup into a lengthy and frustrating experience. As a result, I have lost confidence in Sixt and will be cancelling my account. I will not be renting from this company again and cannot recommend this location based on my experience.

  I usually don’t leave reviews, but this time I felt it was necessary. I rented a 2026 BMW X3 from Sixt. While driving on the highway, a rock struck my windshield and cracked it badly. I was convinced I would have to pay a large amount for the damage and was already preparing to file an insurance claim. To my surprise, Sixt didn’t charge me anything at all. The entire process was smooth, and the staff handled the situation professionally. This experience completely exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Sixt, for making what could have been a stressful situation so easy to deal with. I will definitely rent from you again.
